Graphic Display Problems with V3.09
I just upgraded from v3.07 to v3.09. After completing the upgrade my graphic (logo) no longer displays. It worked when I was running v3.07. Is this a known bug in v3.09? If not, any ideas why it stopped working in v3.09 but worked in v3.07? Thanks for all the help in advance. Sean

Usin ISO Linux & Memdisk to create a Viritual Floppydrive that Linux & Windows can load driver disk from.
With windows, if your "virtual" floppy is drive B:, then windows will treat it specially. It will basically copy the contents into memory from real mode using int13h, knowing that it will not be able to access the device after it switches to protected mode. I asked a few days ago about support for making a memdisk image behave as drive B:, but got no answer. :-( We have our

feature request: gzip support in syslinux itself
HPA, is it possible to add GZ support in syslinux itself? Some standalone software compresses very well, but is not compressed. Example is the Memtest86+ binary (90KB uncompressed --> 35KB gzip'd) and maybe Smart Boot Manager (gzip'd COM32 binary instead of normal COM32 binary?). I'm using both on a simple bootdisk, and all space savings are welcome. a workaround could ofcourse

Server Setup Advice
Hello Everybody! I am currently setting up an Asterisk server for medium to high load (approximately 20-35 concurrent phone lines). Do you think the following specs will sufficiently satisfy this system? CPU: XeonQC3220 2.4GHZ 8M RAM: 2X2GB/800 Harddrive: 1X250GB I could add harddrives and partition them into /var and /log directories to help with diskdrive throughput. Thanks! Elliot

Problems With Booting CentOS on Dell T7910
Hello! Does anyone have any experience with installing CentOS 6 (specfically, 6.8), on a Dell T7910? I've tried at least a dozen installs, everything gets configured, and when I have the system reboot, I get 'No boot device found press any key to reboot the machine'. In BIOS, I've enabled AHCI, Legacy boot and modes, and enabled the SAS controller. The disks are seen and

Thanks!
I'd like to thank as an end-user all the people who have contributed to such a great program as ISOLINUX is. For the FreeDOS operating system (MS-DOS open source clone , freedos.org) we've been putting togehter a 55MB distribution on cdrom, and your ISOLINUX project proves it's very easy to add it to existing cdrom's to make them (multi)bootable. Thanks to both your effors

net ads join -U syntax
Hello, I try to join a Samba 3.2 server on RHEL 4 to AD using net ads join -d 2 -U myaccount@DOMAIN.COM It seems that the net utility does not 'like' a full qualified userid any longer. I was able to join using samba v3.09 and v3.025 but with 3.2.8 I'm only able to join submitting a plain userid (without @domain appended), i.e. net ads join -d 2 -U myaccount When joining using

hanging pxelinux.0 and menu.c32 on Dell 1850
Hello all. I've got this weird problem. If I try to boot a simple menu using syslinux's (v 3.09) pxelinux.0 and menu.c32 -files my Dell 1850 loses the keyboard / hangs straight after loading menu.c32. The machine has to be powered off completely. I did some research and got it working by using menu.c32 v3.09 and pxelinux.0 v3.07 -combo. It seems that from version 3.08 on something has

LLVM z80 backend and llvm-dis missing?
Inspired by Jason Turner's talk at CppCon 2016: Jason Turner “Rich Code for Tiny Computers: A Simple Commodore 64 Game in C++17” I got interested in writing a Zilog Z80 backend for LLVM. Jason actually did no such thing, but instead wrote a x86-to-6502 translator (reassembler he calls it) https://github.com/lefticus/x86-to-6502 So I'm now trying to bootstrap this project. Goal: - be

64 K write access grouped in a single disk access ?
Hi Stephen, I would like to know the behavior of ext3 for a write() request used with O_SYNC for 64 K in term of disk access method: - is there a chance to have only one disk access (instead of 16 x 4 K corresponding to each mapped page ) or at maximum two in journaled mode ? - if this is possible then how can i force such a grouping of data in a single disk output ? NB: i disable cached write

RDMA Client Hang Problem
Dear Gluster-Users, I am experiencing RDMA problems. I have installed Ubuntu 16.04.4 running with 4.15.0-13-generic kernel, MLNX_OFED_LINUX-4.3-1.0.1.0-ubuntu16.04-x86_64 to 4 different servers. All of them has Mellanox ConnectX-4 LX dual port NICs. These four servers are connected via Mellanox SN2100 Switch. I have installed GlusterFS Server v3.10 (from Ubuntu PPA) to 3 servers. These 3
