Booting initrd with PXELinux
Hello Peter, It isn't stated on your site how to transfer initrd images using PXELINUX. I found out how to do it, but I can imagen that some people won't. Perhaps you could add an clear example like this to your http://syslinux.zytor.com/pxe.php section: ----- To load a linux kernel using an initrd root filesystem add an configuration entry: LABEL linux-install KERNEL vmlinuz

Updated kvm kernael and now some guests are hung
Earlier this evening I updated our CentOS-6.2 kvm virtual host to kernel 2.6.32-220.4.1.el6. After rebooting three guests are hung. I cannot establish connections via the network (no route to host) and the virtual console is unresponsive. On two of them I was able to initiate the login process but after the password prompt the system no longer responded. On the other the system hung when I

Broadvoice User hung up on voicemail
don't quote me on this but I believe the earlier assumtion is correction. I think you need to have RTP going bothways otherwise the call will disconnect. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of Chris Shaw Sent: Friday, August 13, 2004 12:40 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re:

update on hung rsyncs
Some new data on my rsync hangs: I run about 1500 rsync sessions over ssh daily. In the last 8 days that adds up to about 12k rsync sessions. Of those 12k sessions, 10 are right now sitting in a hung state. The rsync process on the destination has exited, but both rsync processes on the source are still running/waiting/hung. I use a timeout of 3600 (but this doesn't seem to work for this

Samba Hung Process ("D state") and hung system
Hi, I had an interesting problem with a Samba server recently, and I think I know what happened. But I want to post here to see if those wiser than I can confirm this or give me a better explanation of what went awry. I initially noticed around 8:35 AM samba wasn't working at all, and that my server had huge load averages indicated by "uptime". Though in "top" I could

Detect answer and hangup
Im trying to detect when the person I call pick up the phone and also when I (and the other side) hang up. Until now I've tried with the "G" option in the Dial app. wich one continues running dialplan when the other side picks up, but I have no option to know when he hungs up. Other option was to use the "g" option in the Dial, that when one hungs up, dialplan continues

Too Many Open Files, Hung SIP Sessions, Can I Increase File Count?
Hi All, Something happened on one of my 1.2.9.1 systems, SIP between * and Cisco Call Manager 4.1, leaving hung or open SIP sessions. No problem now, we found and corrected the problem. But while these hung sessions were increasing to around 480 to 500 sessions, I started getting "too many open files" on the asterisk console and sporadically could not establish new SIP connections.

Hung SIP channels
I have recently posted a message regarding hung SIP channels when using the Monitor() command. Well, I was wrong.   The channel hanging wasn't caused by the Monitor command. They also hang when they aren't monitored. The cause seems to be our PSTN gateway provider. When for some reason their PSTN gateway crashes or reboots (OK, this should happen, but anyway...) and RTP/SIP data stops

smbd hung processes - Samba 3.0.7
I have the very same problem with samba 3.0.14a running on Debian Sarge and have found no solution yet. Has anyone found a solution in the meanwhile? Could it perhaps be due to a failure in our networking hardware? > We've seen Samba crash and burn twice in the last 48 hours - it just > started happening, and we have no idea what might be causing it. Linksys (PAP2) delay time between hung up and line release
I have a PAP2 with 2 phone ports. When I call them everything works fine until I hung up the call. There is about 30-40 seconds until I can call to that extension again. Before that it gives me busy messages. Extension config: exten => 199,1,Dial(SIP/199,30) exten => 199,102,Hangup Any suggestions? Thanks
