OCFSv1 for kernel 2.6
Hi, are there plans to make OCSFv1 available for linux kernel 2.6.x ? We would like to upgrade a RAC on SUSE SLES8 to SUSE SLES9. SLES9SP2 will support OCFSv2, but if I understand correctly OCFSv1 and OCFSv2 are not compatible and we have to copy all the DB files from one filesystem to the other. Thanks for your help. bye, Sumit __________________________________________________________ Mit

Problem with Java applications
Hi, my name is Dieter and this is my 1st post to the list. I''m currently using shorewall 2.2.5 on SuSE 9.2 and java 1.4.2_06. Overall everything works as expected. If I try to interrupt the startup process

protocol negotiation failed
Hello guys, I have got my samba server as PDC run and it worked well. I could see the machine in a windows explorer and the linux/samba users could login into the windows. Now, suddenly, I can't see samba server in windows explorer any more, but linux users can still log into the windows machines. I can ping from the samba server and it works. When I run #smbclient -L localhost I get the

polling for options on printing commands
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 For people with print servers: I'm working on fixing a bug for 3.0.8 and need to know how many people use smb.conf variables other than the standard printing vars like %p, %j, etc... in the various printing commands. Please send me examples if you use things like %U, or %m. Thanks. cheers, jerry -

Can't get hpa-tftpd working on Slackware 9.1
Hi, I have a question on tftpd on Slackware - I know this is an embedded Linux forum, but I think it still must be the appropriate place to ask. I have hpa-tftpd V0.40 on Slackware 9.1. No matter what I do, I can't get files transferred to the tftp server. I just get timeouts - no messages in /var/log/messages or in /var/log/syslog - just dealthly silence. This is the configuration line

will there be theora_decode_RGBout() ?
hi folks! i would like to know whether there will be some function to decode to some plain 24 bit RGB buffer in the future. i think this feature is sometimes important, especially when using different surface layers, or when modifying the buffer in realtime. if this feature will definitely not be, could someone tell me how i can convert to some RGB buffer in realtime? i already tried different

General feature questions
Hi! For a project I've got to work at, were deciding whether we use Asterisk or not. It depends on if the following needed Features are realizable: (If someone already knows how to configure it, any suggestions would be great) - Caller checking: If someone calls the number of the Asterisk server it should be able to check if the guy is allowed to call this number. That means, that asterisk

unix sync problem
Hi Samba Folks, When I comment out the following line unix password sync = yes from my smb.conf. I get the following error: Error: the 'passwd program' (/usr/bin/passwd %u) requires a '%u' parameter. When I comment the above line, I get no error, although passwd program /usr/bin/passwd %u exists in the smb.conf. My smb.conf is as follows: #/etc/samba/smb.conf #Samba

3.0.10 with printing patch, NULL devmode, failing to fetch tdb and buffer overflow
Hi Jerry, hi @all, some users with 3.0.10 with printing patch have problems with old printjobs in her status monitor in windows. Loglevel 10 shows two problems: 1. The devmode for this printer was not set properly (I know, thiswill cause problems). log.smbd: [2005/01/05 14:02:09, 8] rpc_parse/parse_spoolss.c:smb_io_reldevmode(2407) boing, the devmode was NULL 2. A buffer overflow is logged.

Error in colMeans ... what's wrong with my data?
Having searched and searched I still haven't found what's the problem with my data (I've attached the relevant file). Every time I tried to use the CANCOR-Function I got error messages. So I turned to check my two sets of variables separately by using the "colMeans"-Function. With one set no problem .. but with the other. My input : > struktur <-

buffer_get_bignum2: negative numbers not supported
Hi I have added smartcard support to PuTTY and this worked fine until yesterday when we replaced one of our Slackware-9 machines by a Slackware-10 one. Slackware-9 contained OpenSSH 3.5p1 while Slackware-10 has OpenSSH 3.8.1p1. Now the same keys that worked before do not work anymore and OpenSSH fails with buffer_get_bignum2: negative numbers not supported I first supected that my
