PXE booting ASUS NVidia board: odd file not found errors
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to get an asus motherboard to netboot. It has an
integrated Nvidia boot agent that's supposed to network boot pxe
happily.
I've setup the necessary services and environments in tftpd, however,
the boot agent is running into trouble requesting files from the tftp
server. It always seems to receive File Not Found errors. The
filenames are specified properly

Unable to figure out extlinux
OK, been perusing the archives and Google, but can't find what I want.
I'm building up a 512 MB compact flash using the CLFS directions to
build the filesystem. That works great, but I would like to use extlinux
to make the cflash bootable on my little SBC. However, to date, no dice.
Attached is my extlinux.conf file and the steps I have used to make this
work.

extlinux 3.20-pre8 notes
hi Peter, everyone,
I recently installed extlinux on my CF drive.
after a few botches, it works, with menu.c32 too.
Heres a few notes/observations:
- menuing seems pretty sensitive to presence of tabs in extlinux.conf,
unlike with pxelinux.cfg/default, Is this an oversight,
or something Im misremembering ?
- extlinux doesnt have the timeout after menu-choice.
if I dont choose, it times out and

[PATCH] pygrub: look harder for elilo.conf
Keir,
This would also be appropriate for 3.1.0, since the /usr/lib fix makes
pygrub work on ia64
Presently pygrub only looks in /efi/redhat/elilo.conf. It should
check for other distributions, plus a couple fallback locations.

Question about syslinux EFI alpha version
Dear list,
I would like to add and test EFI boot support for a live system. Since I
use isolinux and syslinux for everything, I would be glad to have
syslinux.efi as boot loader for EFI-only machines, so I can just keep
all syslinux.cfg files, help files and boot screen as they are.
I checked out version 6.00-pre git of syslinux (the "firmware" branch)
and was able to compile efi32 and

ia64 boot cd
Hi,
I am trying to create a boot cd for ia64 systems which will go into the efi shell, map to fs0 (cdrom) and give a help message on screen. I have tried creating a CD using isolinux but this boots as the Red Hat AW2.1 CD 1 and ignores the message file. After selecting the efi shell and mapping to fs0 then entering - elilo linux ks=nfs:<ip address>:<kickstart file> I get the message

Boot 32GB Multi-partition Flash as USB-ZIP
I have a Pentium 4 machine that does not boot from my 32GB SanDisk
Cruzer. Its first partition is 24GB and FAT32, to serve as
cross-platform storage. There is a second partition of 7GB in EXT2
which is bootable and contains a Linux system armed with syslinux
(extlinux). This works fine booting off of recent laptops and desktops
alike.
This particular desktop has in its BIOS everything related to

uEFI support for PXELINUX
I am in charge of running a small network that allows users to install
Operating Systems from PXE. Our new machines support PXE booting from uEFI.
I was wondering if/when PXELINUX will be able to load from uEFI PXE
requests?
I've successfully booted to elilo from uEFI, but I need to flexibility that
PXELINUX has in order to perform efficient installs.

Automounter (?) failing in CentOS 5.3
I may have asked about this before, but I can't find any records of so
doing in my saved mail (which includes almost everything I ever read
or write):
All of a sudden, I am not getting flash drives automatically mounted
in CentOS 5.3 with GNOME - they are recognized by the hardware, but
there seems to be a (new?) problem with the maps. Here's the tail end
of dmesg:

Block Commit: [100 %]error: failed to pivot job for disk vda (Bug filed)
Hello List,
Seems like blockcopy --wait doesn't work work qemu-2.2.x.
I found someone else having the same problem, but it never went anywhere:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvirt-users/2015-January/msg00045.html
I went ahead and did some more debugging and created a bug report:

I'm going to do some more debugging and hopefully
