can''t create 1st domain on debian
Hi all I''ve taken the plunge and decided to set up Xen on my AMD64 machine. I want to use amd64 debian as the domain 0 O/S, then install a full amd64 debian dev kit and a couple of 32-bit linuxes on top. I''ve got an install of debian amd64 running as domain0, which boots up just fine. I boot it with dom0_mem=131072 (the machine has 1Gb of RAM). I then created some disk

Cups issue - keeps re-writing cupsd.conf and mime.types
Hi, My Centos 4.4 server at home is serving a Samsung SCX-4521F printer, which the *nix and Win clients connect to through ipp. Every so often (maybe once a month), the cupsd.conf and mime.types files are updated, which makes the printer unavailable to the clients. My fix so far has been to stop cups, overwrite the files with cupsd.conf.working and mime.types.working (these are backup files of the

File Permissions
I have been noticing an issue with file permissions and curious as to your thoughts on this. In the one directory the files started as... ...a 777 file was users[100] and root...now they are gc[1002] and fred_smith [1005], but the permissions changed to 764. I have a mask as 775, but this does not seem to be the case??? Here is my smb.conf...curious as to what I may have wrong on this???

[PATCH] tftpd.c: write a pid file in standalone mode
The default path is /var/run/tftpd-hpa.pid, which can be overridden by the newly introduced -P option. On normal termination (SIGTERM or SIGINT) the pid file is automatically removed. Moved setting the umask later, right before entering the select loop, so that it does not affect the permissions of the pid file. tftp-hpa 0.28, 0.29 interoperability problem
Hi, I have a tftp client which loads quite happily from a tftpd built from netkit-tftp-0.16 but which fails to load from from a tftpd built from tftp-hpa 0.29. In both cases, tftpd was built from pristine sources and run from xinetd under Redhat 7.3. [netkit-tftp-0.16 is the ancestor of tftp-hpa, predating HPA's maintenance of same] [the tftp client also.. .. fails with the prebuilt tftpd
