Hello (my machine is a Debian/Sid/x86-64/Core2) Assuming I have one C source file chello.c, to compile it into a dynamically loadable thru dlopen shared object, I can run gcc -fPIC -shared -O chello.c -o chello.so I thought that, assuming I have one llvm source ehello.ll, the equivalent would be llvmc2 -opt ehello.ll -o ehello.so but it is not that simple. Any clues ? May I also

Centos 6.x and Freenx issue..Solved!!
Thanks much to* Christoph *for pointing me in the right direction, appears to be an issue with the latest Vmware -tools, not sure I did a clean install with the opensource ones to see if they had the same issues but applying both of the fixes in the link post solves the problem with running the latest freenx and nx rpms found in the repo. Thanks again :) On Tue, Feb 28, 2012 at 5:36 AM,

Looking for testers and advise about ISOLINUX within ISO 9660
Hi, we are the developers of an alternative to mkisofs: program xorriso from libburnia-project.org . The current development cycle is about support for creating bootable CDs, DVDs, BDs. So we look for testers and for advise about ISOLINUX specifics. The example from the ISOLINUX wiki is supposed to work if you replace "mkisofs" by "xorriso -as mkisofs". I.e: xorriso -as

Display images
Hi! First of all, sorry for my english. I have one problem. I'm creating a server to install PC's with PXE (dhcpd, tftp, nfs, etc...). And, at the syslinux moment, the image (splash.lss/logo.16/...) is not displayed, but the text into boot.msg works ok (colors and background ok). I copied files from Knoppix, Fedora and others... But it's the same: No image, but text and colors ok.

sfq limit
The limit parameter for SFQ qdiscs isn''t listed in the howto. Based on a mail from this list from 4 may 2002 ("SFQ queue lengths - generalization"), I''d guess it limits the number of packets/bytes in in the queue, but wether it does so by number of bytes, packets, or time spent in the queue I don''t know. Perhaps someone in the know could add a line to the

installing a win software
Hi ! I've been trying hard to install a windows software with WINE. The name of the software is Distrinet. It's made by AMP (The company that distribute newspapers in belgium) and that's the only piece of software I'm forced to use at work under windows. It would be a joy for me to make it work under linux and be able to delete windows for good. This software runs fine under

Omegahat-site down?
Dear R-list subscriber, is it possible that the omegahat-site is down? I was looking for package 'RDCOMClient', but could not establish a connection. In case somebody has the latest binary zip-file for Windows, would she/he mind to send it directly to my emaim adress stated in the signature? Many thanks, and sorry for bothering/misusing R-help in this instance. Best, Bernhard Dr.

moved doc site.
The vorbis source browser and newbie docs that I used to host in Montreal are now in New York. At least for now. The old beta2 encoder document has many links that work again, reflecting some of the beta3 directory changes. While the document still is 95% beta2-centric, it is -slowly- being updated to reflect the beta3+ CVS trunk. Vorbis newbies who are ready to jump into browsing the source
