PXELINUX Debugging Output
I am sending a patch that makes the debugging output of PXELINUX slightly
more concise, without (intentionally) affecting its completeness at all.
Additionally, I am proposing that the debugging output of PXELINUX --
specifically the messages that appear after the copyright statement, but
before the menu is loaded -- only be shown in response to keyboard input
(such as holding Shift or Alt, or

Bugs in pxelinux.asm - syslinux 3.75
In pxelinux.asm
the xchg instruction in
xchg ax,ax
.
data_on_top:
should be xchg ax,dx, I think
At the end of
pxe_get_cached_info routine,there is
and ax,ax
jnz .err
It is supposed to test for AX status, but
since pxenv does pushad and popad, AX doesn't contain status. In fact
the other routines calling pxenv don't have this bug.

Questions re PXELINUX
I have been using PXELINUX for a while and appreciate all you guys are doing!
I have a couple of questions re PXELINUX:
1. I am experiencing problems with the LOCALBOOT statement on an IBM x3650. IBM mentions the following:
http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?lndocid=MIGR-5084755
I am using PXELINUX 4.04. Is this problem still attributed to some bug in PXELINUX? Right now I

PXElinux Modification Question
Hi,
We are new to PXElinux and we are using it in our test lab
to do provisioning. When the systems come up there is a
PXElinux menu to boot local(default) or boot to the imaging
environment (linux). It works great, but we have to visit
each machine whenever we want to create or restore a disk
image.
Now we would like to be able to remotely force a system to
re-image itself. The

PXELinux 2.00 doesn't timeout on one of my systems
We have four NEC 140rb-4 systems (P4-Xeon quad-proc system, identical to
the Intel SRSH4). They are all running the latest BIOS (v3) and firmware,
which sadly includes Intel PXE 4.0.19 from v1 onwards.
At least two of the systems work just fine, net-booting when there's a
machine-specific config file (e.g. AC140510) or loading the "default"
file, which is:

Dell OptiPlex 790 PXELINUX localboot reboot loop
Our site has many Dell OptiPlex 790s, all of which are unable to use the 'localboot' PXELINUX option as they either hang at 'Booting from local disk...' or immediately reboot depending on which SYSLINUX version is used. Many people have suggested using chain.c32 to chain load the local disk as a workaround, but this causes problems with Windows 7 BitLocker as it detects the chain

PXElinux bootscreens
I have not found in your documentation any discussion of Graphical frontends
to PXElinux (a la Syslinux).
Is this possible, or likely in the future?

PXElinux NFS booting issue
Hi,
I know this isn't the right list for this but I figured that at least you
guy's have done some similar things.
After messing about with PXElinux, I'm only a hairs breath away from
finishing. My problem comes from program files that the Kernel boots to, so
init=/sbin/init or init=/bin/bash. If I boot to bash the console of the
remote PC just dies right after the section
