compiling pxelinux in elf
Hi I have used pxelinux successfully in some situations. However, I am unable to boot IBM NetVista thin clients using pxelinux. The kernel that does boot up these thin clients over the net is in elf format (it is called kernel.2200). # file kernel.2200 kernel.2200: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, not stripped So, I would have liked to compile

Recursive pxelinux.0 and pxelinux.cfg directories.
I am trying to set a uniform PXE environment to load multiple distros. RHEL 5.1 and 4.7 SUSE 10.2 and 11 Solaris 10 X86 Window Multiple server versions.... - Why? Because I am in hell. What I want is to have an upper level pxelinux.0 call the default menu directories that come with the releases. Is there a way to call pxelinux.0 and point it at a different pxelinux.cfg directory?

Chainload pxelinux from pxelinux and pass parameters or change root dir?
When chainloading one pxelinux from another (e.g., chainloading from say pxelinux 4.07 to pxelinux 6.02), can one pass parameters or somehow control the root directory and/or server IP address? Here's the need: we have a loaded-up PXE server working great under 4.07, and I'm not prepared to just switch the entire setup to a newer version of pxelinux, too many folks depending on a

pxelinux: Using just pxelinux.cfg/default
Hi friends... I am using pxelinux but it is so slow when I don't write MAC addresses in /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf so How do I can use pxelinux.cfg/default directly and not have to wait? pxelinux.0 on pSeries
Hi, I am new to this list, but would greatly appreciate any help on the topic. We are trying to automate the build/installation of a pSeries machine using kickstart server. We have a process in place that completes a system build of xSeries machines. It uses pxelinux.0 to direct the bootp to the kernel, ramdisk and kickstart.config file. I was trying to use the same process to build the pSeries

Odd problem with pxelinux
We encountar a somewhat odd problem. We use pxelinux to boot a linux cluster and when we reboot all 103 of the nodes some of the won't start since the tftp-servere looses the arp-entry _between_ it downloads the pxelinux.0 and the config file! pxelinux doesn't seem to answer the arp-requests either in this phase. We run linux 2.4.22 on the tftp-server which also is dhcp-server and
