Samba4 + existing OpenLDAP possible?
Hello list, I've got an already running OpenLDAP-Server with online configuration through cn=config. Is it possible to use the existing OpenLDAP with Samba4 alpha12? For the existing openldap ps aux gives me /usr/sbin/slapd -h ldap:/// ldapi:/// -g openldap -u openldap -F /etc/ldap/slapd.d/ but when I try setup/provision --realm=ad.pallas --domain=ad --ldapadminpass="XXX"

SYSLINUX 2.09-pre2
This version contains a fix to mbr.asm, plus a version of Murali's menu system, but ported to gcc. Although gcc produces much bigger 16-bit code (since it's really 32-bit code with prefixes) I figured it would be much easier for people to deal with since it requires the configuration to be compiled in. That being said, it's a *very* powerful menu system, partially *because*

Syslinux malloc
I mentioned in a private email recently that it would be useful if syslinux had a malloc implementation. I have one now if anyone's interested. -- Hebe 2004-02-08 14:26:08.183 UTC (JD 2453044.101484) X = -1.159504592, Y = 2.015990327, Z = 0.638260245 X' = -0.010415779, Y' = -0.003652077, Z' = 0.001024628

Com32 library
With not too much effort I've made Doug Lea's malloc work in the com32 environment. I've also hacked up some start up code to create the argv array so it's possible to start with main. Should I post it here or what? -- Jupiter 2004-02-20 21:17:51.911 UTC (JD 2453056.387406) X = -5.172371620, Y = 1.409543883, Z = 0.730102025 X' = -0.002302696, Y' =

Gcc 3.4.0 and syslinux-2.09 menu
The menu directory won't compile with gcc 3.4.0 because gcc complains that "ebp" cannot be used as a constraint. If preserving ebp is necessary then it will have to be done in the assembler code. Gcc 3.3.3 just seems to ignore the constraint. It didn't do anything special to preserve the register. I also noticed that getnumrows returns the contents of 0x484 which is the

lighttpd + fastcgi + camping
Hello all, I am running in some little stumbling blocks with passenger as a multi user environment (the most problematic feature is that, once you setup a sub-domain passenger wants you to declare on nginx every app running on that nginx server which is not ideal to add apps on the fly and / or if a user wants to run 2 apps from his space) so I was thinking about a more drag a drop / one line

Good write, but slow read speeds over the network
Hi all, I am running Netalk on OSol snv134 on a Dell R610, 32 GB RAM server. I am experiencing different speeds when when writing to and reading from the pool. The pool itself consists of two FC LUNs that each build a vdev (no comments on that please, we discussed that already! ;) ). Now, I am having a couple of AFP clients that access this pool either via FastEthernet or even GiBitEthernet.

Regarding hanging of ssh upon exit
Hi, I would like to briefly comment on a problem mentioned in the file "TODO" and also in the OpenSSH FAQ (question 3.10), namely the hanging of an ssh connection (on Linux) if there are active processes. It is stated that this has to do with the fact that children of the shell are not killed upon exiting the shell. However, the problem also occurs if a process is started with

FreeBSD 8.3-R sysinstall does not "see" disks that are recognized during boot
I've got a new supermicro server I'm trying to get FreeBSD on. It uses the Intel c602 chipset, and it's my understanding that support for that chipset (c60X) was recently added via the isci driver. Ok, great, that explains why 8.2-R and 9.0-R didn't see the drives. So, I grabbed the memstick image of 8.3-RELEASE that is on the ftp server, booted it up, and sure enough, as the

Rewritten script /etc/init.d/tinc
THis is the modified script that came with tinc 1.0pre2, and it now uses ifconfig in stead of ip-route. I changed the syntax to be correct (may already have been fixedin a newer version), it now checks whether or not there is a '/dev/tapX' or a '/dev/netlink/tapX' and it checks if there is a module or not. I also added the force_connect and the reload options. Force_connect send

Strange scroll behavior of Auto Complete inside Active Scaffold.
Hi Everyone. After a long weekend of testing some stuff out I finally got the auto suggest working. I have got a problem however in both IE and Firefox as the drop down scrolls the page down to the element only when the up arrow is pressed. Here is a detailed example. When I have <%= text_field_with_auto_complete :product, :colour %> in my product _form.rhtml override... ... and in my

Problem with console in Windows GUI (PR#4381)
Full_Name: Andrew Zachary Version: 1.7.1 OS: XP Pro Submission from: (NULL) (24.44.128.138) The R-console window in the Windows GUI has a nice feature that lets you save your preferences for font sizes and background and foreground colors. Unhappily, there is no way to load these preferences back in when starting a new session. Also, the scroll window for selecting colors is very small and
