Syslinux 6.03 released
Hi everyone,
I have released Syslinux 6.03. It is by and large identical to 6.03-pre20.
I would like to do a short cycle for 6.04, because 64-bit support for
ext4 has come up as a very high priority. Therefore I do not want to
stuff too many things into the 6.04 release but hold them for 6.05.
Thanks to Ady for most of the changelog.

PXE Linux boot to F12 automatically
HI There,
Firstly a bit about me.
I am a bit of an old school PXE user from the Kingdom of Gates. I have also spent years in the Linux playground.
While I have never been a programmer I am fairly competent in scripting languages, both on windows and Linux.
My occupation is "System Builder" I build operating System images and discs (not the OS itself). So I actually customize OS's.

pxelinux doesn't start boot some kernels
Hello,
I'm playing with this issue several days and can't find why pxelinux boots
kernels without problems and some doesn't start booting at all. It's not
depend on kernel size or version, probably on kernel config or some magic.
But there are kernels which boot anytime and kernles which boot never. How
can i set debug/verbose mode in PXELINUX?
This computer is based on dual

gpxelinux local disk boot does not work
I have a lab in which I keep all my computers set to try network boot
first that way it is easy to put a file in pxelinux.cfg of the mac
address of a faulty machine and have it build itself or run
diagnostics.
Up till recently I used pxelinux.0. I have been trying out gpxelinux
so that I can use its http fuctionality to download initrd images
faster to boot. I just discovered that its local boot

PXE boot problem
I must be making some silly mistake. I can get the pxelinux.0 file to load,
but cannot get the config file to load.
I keep getting the message that it is trying to load a file from
pxelinux.cfg.
I have checked all the file permissions and other instructions. The
tftpserver is running on Fedora 5.
I have tried to load pxelinux on 2 completely different computers without
success.

PXE Boot Menu with iSCSI and AOE!
Dear developer,
I am working on a project for my graduate work (diploma), which includes iSCSI and AOE booting. I made some menus using pxelinux and things are working fine with linux, but I have a small problem with windows system which require direct iscsi or aoe access.
I have dhcpd.conf setup that it to each first dhcp request handles out pxelinux.0, then I can chooose from that menu which OS

Intel Boot Agent 4.0.19
First, THANKS! The SYSLINUX/PXELINUX s/w and docs are great. I have been
able to set up a working server for PXE boot in very little time, using our
existing Win2k DHCP server and a Red Hat 7.2 Linux server for tftp, etc...
It took very little time (compared to an earlier effort 4 months ago.....)
and the pxelinux/menu/memdisk environment is great for us.
The environment seems to support PXE

Default PXE boot timeout
Hello all,
I have a NFSroot'ed a couple of OS platforms so that servers can have
the option (web access) to:
a. boot off a CentOS NFS root over the network
b. or LOCAL hardrive (FreeBSD).
A Simple script controls this so that if user selects NFS root -
- /etc/dhcpd.conf will be updated to include the filename "pxelinux.0"
parameter and it will find its configuration file based

Network Boot IP Configuration Dilemma
Background: I recently wrote to Peter Anvin regarding IPAPPEND
functionality, and he suggested I take the issue to this mailing list.
I see it has been touched upon several times, after reviewing the
archives. Let me see if I can add to it with a good level of detail:
When using PXE to network boot a linux client, PXE must first
acquire the client's IP address, by dhcp request, then, the

PXE boot hangs after trying to load cfg/<max address>
Hi,
i'm trying to get my VIA Epia with VIA Rhine ethernet device to boot
PXELinux. I have done this before, but now i can't get it to work.
The machine loads pxelinux.0, i see some messages. But it fails just
after trying reading the first config file (the one with the mac
address). It kinda says this (transcribed):
CLIENT IP: 192.168.1.23 MASK: 255.255.255.0 DHCP IP: 192.168.1.93

PXElinux boot sequence with multiple ethernets
Hello,
I am attempting a PXE boot between two systems, each with multiple
network cards. While there are a total of 8 ports on each computer,
only two (each) are connected as follows:
Boot Server
eth0 - 10GbE fiber channel (private to the set of computers being
managed) (Qlogic)
eth4 - 1Gb ethernet (public and out of my sphere of management)

blame-transfer protocol on PXE boot
hpa, etal,
pxelinux works great from a push of the reset button.
machine boots normally.
However, after i issue 'reboot' command, my box fails to find the tftp
server during reboot.
This looks to be happening before pxelinux has any chance to participate,
so it cannot be to blame.
Im seeking corroboration here before I go badgering the bios-provider
