Hallo, I try to boot the windows 98 bootdisk via memdisk. It doesn't work completely. Booting a freedos FD image works, booting the windows 98 image works too. But the windows 98 boot disk then should extract the file "ebd.cab" with the file "extract.com", and that step fails. Is that a syslinux problem or a windows problem? Viele Gruesse! Helmut

Memdisk 2.08 cannot boot an XP boot floppy image (XP appears to use WinME boot files for its bootable floppy). For example: http://members.iinet.net.au/~bdriver/bootdisk/download.htm This disk will not boot with Memdisk (Memdisk starts to load the image and then hangs). I'm using Bart's tools to build a boot CD: http://www.nu2.nu/corpmodboot/ Which uses Isolinux and Memdisk.

The floppy image will contain the CD drivers and hence you can use DOS to access the contents of the CD. I have, hopefully, found and fixed the issue with non-kernel binaries that appeared in 3.35. As a result, I have pushed out 3.36-pre6 and am classifying it as a release candidate.
