Starting an both port 139 and 445
Hello, I've have an installation where some clients run via a VPN tunnel and modem and that makes W2k clients to connect on port 445, but i need to have it running on port 139 as well so i start smbd for port 445 via inetd and nmbd and smbd on port 139 as daemons. But now for my problem, some local clients have problems when printing, they get permission denied, could that be due to this? And

Adding dynamically more than one host at once?
Hi, it seems not to be possible to add more than one host at once to a zone. So shorewall add br0:eth0:192.168.2.10,eth0:192.168.2.11 work fails, since "br0:eth0:192.168.2.10,eth0" is interpreted as one interface. --snip -- iptables v1.2.9: interface name `eth0:192.168.2.10,eth0'' must be shorter than IFNAMSIZ (15) Try `iptables -h'' or ''iptables

[PATCH] Make Queue announcements more consistent (1.4.26.2)
Hi, After playing around with queues a bunch on 1.4.26.2, I noticed a few things, which the patch below addresses. It addresses: - Callers in position 0 will hear periodic/position announcements at a very different rate than all other callers. -- Announcements while in position 0 could be delayed up to "timeout+retry" seconds. -- This patch reduces that possible delay to only

SMB: : ver 2.2x vs 3.0 vs tng (diff's)?
OK: First, please respond to me directly, as I'm not on the TNG list. Here's the situation: I will be setting up a "computer lab" for 30-40 PC's with various users (students). Here are my needs: 1) One Touch (point) User administration (the simpler the better) 2) Simplest set of LINUX SW possible 3) NO NT PDC 4) All clients are W2K. 5) Want

TableGen trace facility
Are all the records collected as they are parsed, with template parameter substitution and lets, and *then*, after all records are collected, a "pass" is made to calculate the inter-field expressions? Once I understand this, I will add a section to the new guide to explain it. I presume it is the case that this behavior should be publicized. It also appears to be the case that a record

TableGen trace facility
Yes, I understand the problem. To be more useful, TableGen would have to carry the traces along with the classes and records and (re)display the values while the substitutions are being made. I'm writing a new Programmer's Guide for TableGen and have been digging into the parse-time versus substitution-time issue. I haven't found a document that makes it clear. Can you give a quick

R+Stata batch mode
Dear R help, I am using Stata, and I use a Stata ado file (Rsource) to run R in batch mode within Stata Everything works fine .... except for the fact that I cannot export the graphics that I obtain with my computations written in my R source file I believe this is related to the global Rterm_options `"--vanilla"' that I need to precise to Rsource (otherwise it does not work) ...

RFC: API to allow identification of warnings and errors in the output stream
Dear R developers, this mail is basically a summary / clarification of some previous mails I sent to this list last week (subject "Catching warning and error output"). Duncan Murdoch pointed out that these were badly organized, and suggested I repost, collecting the main points previously spread out between several mails. Problem statement: In an application embedding R, I would

Centos 5.3 -> Apache - Under Attack ? Oh hell....
Guys, apache cpus usage is hitting 100% sometimes ( to such an extent that its very noticeable) on a box with just 8 users or so. i m getting this when i run 'top'. [LLVMdev] Asserts in bundleWithPred() and bundleWithSucc()
Jakob, I have a question about the following (four) asserts recently added in bundleWithPred() and bundleWithSucc() (see below). What is the real danger of reasserting a connection even if it already exist? My problem with them happens when I try to call finalizeBundle() on an existing bundle to which I have added a new instruction. The goal - a new bundle header with liveness abbreviation, but

puzzled by cat() behaviour when argument '...' is a vector (and argument 'sep' contains "\n")
Hi r-devels, I am a bit puzzled by the behaviour of cat() --- any help is appreciated... At least AFAICS, cat() for vector-valued '...' argument behaves in contradiction to what I understand from the note in the help to cat() which reads " Despite its name and earlier documentation, 'sep' is a vector of terminators rather than separators, being output after every

Disk images and syslinux
Hi, I'm working on a Red Hat 7.3 based bootable cd. I have included a number of firmware update floppy images to it succesfully. However, I run into problems trying to build a floppy image for IBM ServerRAID firmware update. The firmware update disk set contains three disks. So their content does not fit into 1.44 nor 2.88 floppy images. To my understanding it possible to build a hard disk

using the stepfun to plot histogram outline.
Hello list:) I have lots of values which I would like to get a histogram outline out of. An example of what I am talking about: testdata = runif(100) bbb = seq(0,1, by = 0.01) hist(testdata, breaks = bbb) I would like to get the outline of the resulting histogram. Now, I think that I can do this using the stepfun function. However, I am uncertain of how to get to the data the stepfun function

TableGen trace facility
Hi Paul, If all you care about is debugging then for now we can just emit a few more debug messages which would help to "trace" the flow. To distinguish traces you can prefix it with some known string. I don't think you really need a 'trace' tag in the language spec for this. Debugging Tablegen has always been a nightmare and I don't think we can ever reach a stage where
