booting a dos floppy from a disk image over pxe
Hello,
I'm trying to boot a dos floppy stored on a disk image which is initially
loaded over pxe using memdisk.
I've created the disk image as follows:
dd if=/dev/zero of=$IMGLOCATION/$IMGNAME bs=$(( 1024 * 1024 )) count=20
LOOPDEV=$(losetup --show -f $IMGLOCATION/$IMGNAME)
MAJOR_MINOR=$(ls -l $LOOPDEV|awk '{print $5$6}'|sed 's/,/:/')

problem booting msdos with memdisk
I have the same problem. I can not boot a floppy disk. Once I did it but no longer I can do this. I think there is some problem in the new versions of PXELinux.

EXPERIMENTAL: memdisk.c32
Good day to all,
For anyone who feels adventurous, there is an experimental memdisk.c32
COMBOOT32 module[1] now outside of the official Syslinux development
efforts, which appears to be functional for a few test cases, but should
be considered UNSTABLE. It is a work-in-progress, so please do not
report bugs for it at this time. It's for use with Syslinux 3.85,
specifically.
It was too

[memdisk] remote booting diskless Mini-ITX system
Hi,
As the subject suggests, I am trying to remote boot a Mini-ITX system.
I am using PXELinux as the bootloader,
and Memdisk (2.11) as the 'kernel'. My ramdisk image is a hard drive
image based on PC-DOS.
Two things go wrong during the boot process.
1. "INT 13 08: Failure, assuming this is the only drive" message
2. "Loading boot sector... booting..." message,

libvirt and VMWare Workstation Shared Server mode (of GSX history)
Hi everyone,
I searched previous postings and I couldn't find a definitive answer on
this..
I run a small lab of RHEL/Centos Based servers on which there's VMWare
Workstation running on a non-standard port but still manageable by tools
like VMrun (and the Fusion of Workstation GUI, of course).
I'm trying to use virsh with this setup and getting the following error

PXE Linux (Simple Menu) freeze after pressing 23 times return
Yes it sounds silly, but its true.
I made a menu with some submenu with the simple menu system.
After pressing 23 times return to get into the submenu or back to the
mainmenu it freeze.
I think this is a bug of syslinux. I tried it on 3 different PC/Servers
always the same effect.
Here is my default and one of my submenu files:

Proper way to do thinlto (from code)
I'm using llvm-c (but if needed can call c++ stuff too if nedeed);
what's the proper way to emit bitcode with thinlto info so the linker
can parallelize ?I'm currently using:
unwrap(PMB)->PrepareForThinLTO = b;
on the pass manager builder, but that doesn't seem to be enough?

You need to make sure that your bitcode file has a module summary index.
You can do that either by creating a WriteBitcodePass with EmitSummaryIndex
set to true or by calling WriteBitcodeToFile with a module summary index
that you created yourself. It doesn't look like either of those options are
hooked up to the c API, though.

Thanks!
I'll create a wrapper for WriteBitcodePass. Do I still need the
PrepareForThinTLO pass or is the writeBitCodePass enough?

Trash Plugin bugs
dovecot v2.2.16
I've found a few bugs in Trash plugin.
1. If Quota set only messages limit (without storage limit) then
Trash plugin does not expunge any message because Quota plugin sets too_large_r=TRUE.
It's because quota_default_test_alloc function does not check if bytes_limit is set.

fd.c32 and dos622
I can't get fd.c32 to load a DOS 6.22 boot floppy it says:
boot: fd.c32
.
>>>!
Non-System disk or disk error
Replace and press any key when ready
"chain.c32 fd0" doesn't work either.
This floppy boots fine from the bios.
fd.c32 does work with a Win98 boot floppy.
Thanks for any help

TX/RX ring buffer allocation (xen-unstable)
Hi,
I did not find any hints in the web where to configure/setup/manipulate
the rx/tx ring buffer allocation within dom0 for xen-unstable, maybe
someone here can nudge me towards the right knob.
The problem: when booting a handful of domUs and connecting them
(comprising a small experimental IP network with links and nodes etc.),
some interfaces that have been given by the configuration files
