Time series and stl in R: Error only univariate series are allowed
I am doing analysis on hourly precipitation on a file that is disorganized. However, I managed to clean it up and store it in a dataframe (called CA1) which takes the form as followed: Station_ID Guage_Type Lat Long Date Time_Zone Time_Frame H0 H1 H2 H3 H4 H5 H6 H7 H8 H9 H10 H11 H12 H13 H14 H15 H16 H17 H18 H19 H20 H21 H22 H23 1

HP DL380 G2 does not boot off local disk from PXE boot menu
Hi, all: I can't make my HP DL380 G2 servers to boot off local disk by using "default local" line in my PXE boot menu. For fully automated server setups, I have configured all my DL380 servers to always do PXE boot. By manipulating the default boot option in boot menu, I can control a server whether to install a new OS via kickstart or just boot off local disk. This scheme works

localboot not working in PXELINUX 2.02
Hello, We're using the PXELINUX to boot remote kickstart and Linux rescue images. Recently we got some new hardware (Compaq DL360) which required me to upgrade from PXELINNUX 1.75 to 2.02. Everything works fine on the new hardware, but the "localboot 0" option now just hangs on some of our older boxes. Specifically, our "Tyan Thunder 2510" motherboards with integrated

NFS device IDs for snapshot filesystems
I notice that files within a snapshot show a different deviceID to stat than the parent file does. But this is not true when mounted via NFS. Is this a limitation of the NFS client, or just what the ZFS fileserver is doing? Will this change in the future? With NFS4 mirror mounts? -- Darren Dunham ddunham at taos.com Senior Technical Consultant

A db error that dbcheck tool can't fix
Hi, It appears to be an error in dbcheck, where we're making assertions on the primaryGroupID despite the fact that it is dealing with an inactive link. It should be safe to ignore, and should disappear once the stale link is deleted permanently after the usual tombstone period. There probably needs to be a bug filed though, to make sure we fix this unintended error. Cheers, Garming On

Multiboot pendrive with GPT - a tricky solution which could improve syslinux behavior
Hello! I'm posting some experiences with GRUB0/1 + sys/extlinux + MBR/GPT in a pendrive with 15 partitions. This could be helpful improving sys/extlinux. I did make a bootable pendrive with 14 distros using a GPT partition table and a tricky solution to let sys/extlinux boot from every partition chainloaded from GRUB (GRUB0 or GRUB1). Having a MBR schema, sys/extlinux can't be

Problems using "configfile" dhcp option with pxelinux
Hello, I have been trying to use the "configfile" option in the DHCP response to specify a specific config file when booting. When I specify this in my /etc/dhcpd.conf file the kernel and initrd are transferred, but the kernel does not boot. I am using v2.04 of pxelinux. I would appreciate any help anyone might be able to give. If I remove the "configfile" dhcp option and

problems with 2880 linux floppy image
Hi, I'm using syslinux to boot Linux off a network server running tftpd and dhcpd. The server is running RH 7.3 with syslinux version 2.06 and pxe-0.1-31.99.7.3 installed from the rpm. I created a 2880 K floppy image using syslinux and populated it with the Linux kernel images: vmlinuz, and initrd.img (trimmed of some modules) from RH 9, also, syslinux.cfg with kickstart information. [AVS] Question concerning reverse synchronization of a zpool
Hi, I''m struggling to get a stable ZFS replication using Solaris 10 110/06 (actual patches) and AVS 4.0 for several weeks now. We tried it on VMware first and ended up in kernel panics en masse (yes, we read Jim Dunham''s blog articles :-). Now we try on the real thing, two X4500 servers. Well, I have no trouble replicating our kernel panics there, too ... but I think I

Mandrake 9.0 won''t ping ...
When installing Mandrake 9.0 with the higher security option you cannot ping any of it interfaces, localhost (127.0.0.1) included. All other connections to the system are fine, e.g. ssh, www, squid, etc. "shorewall clear" doesn''t help. Does anyone know how to turn this off for at least localhost and eth1?? Yours truly, Ben
