localboot not working in PXELINUX 2.02
Hello,
We're using the PXELINUX to boot remote kickstart and Linux rescue
images. Recently we got some new hardware (Compaq DL360) which
required me to upgrade from PXELINNUX 1.75 to 2.02. Everything works
fine on the new hardware, but the "localboot 0" option now just hangs
on some of our older boxes.
Specifically, our "Tyan Thunder 2510" motherboards with integrated

Wine exits immediately to debugger (_dl_relocate_object -- glibc2.2.3)
added --prefix=/usr/local/wine to CONFARGS in file). When I try to
run any program with any sort of system of calling wine it exits
immediately and starts the debugger with something like the following
trace.
I notice that the trace seems to end in a call to dl-reloc.c. I don't
know if this is a bogus message produced by something else, but I did
build glibc2.2.3 from source awhile ago.

pxelinux localboot
Just download Syslinux 1.75 and set it up on my SuSE 7.3 box with latest ISC
3.x DHCP release. I am using the SuSE supplied in.tftp, and an IBM PC client
with a IBM EtherJet (actually an Intel Pro 100) nic. Everything was actually
quite straight forward to setup, and I got PXELinux working without too much
trouble.
I am booting several different DOS images without problem, and think my

problem with heatmap.2 in package gplots generating non-finite breaks
I have written a wrapper for heatmap.2 called
heatmap.w.row.and.col.clust which auto-generates breaks using
breaks<-round((c(seq(from=(-20 * stddev), to=(20 * stddev))))/20,
digits = 2) #(stddev in this case = 2.5)
This has always worked well in the past but now I am getting an error
that non-finite breaks are being generated. Drilling down, it seems
that my wrapper is generating finite

mixed formatting of integer and numeric (e. g., by summary.default())
Hello, eveRybody,
I've been trying to find the origin for the following
formatting-"inconsistency":
E. g., look at the number of digits in summary.defaults()'s output when
NAs occur: in my example below the number of NA's is displayed as an
integer, the rest as numeric (floating point numbers):
> summary.default( c( 1:2, NA))

At that point, I followed the advice on the isolinux webpage, and
reburned a CD using isolinux 2.00 with debug. The error message was:

enumerables problem?
I was wondering whether anybody could please tell me why this is causing an
error in IE (works in Firefox):
$A(container.getElementsByTagName(''*'')).each( function(el) {
Element.cleanWhitespace(el);
}.bind(this));
What would be an alternative of achieving the same?
Thank you

Thank you.
Perhaps the following (examples of) redirection links could be
improved?
In the following pairs of links, the first line is the old

destination of the redirection as it would be expected (at

winbind + groups hogs CPU
I've been using winbind successfully for awhile now for user info
(nothing in /etc/passwd), but today I tried to use it to pull group
info, so I updated /etc/nsswitch.conf (RH 7.3) and then tried to add:
valid users = @DOMAIN+group_name
and now whenever I click on any folder (share) to open the cpu util goes
up, and the connection hangs for awhile, and then eventually it

PXELINUX memory overwrite bug - SYSLINUX 2.00-pre9 released
Hi everyone,
Kevin Tran of Broadcom just identified a very serious bug in PXELINUX
where random parts of the PXE stack would get overwritten by PXELINUX.
As a result, I have release SYSLINUX 2.00-pre9 for testing; if you have
had problems with PXELINUX **PLEASE** test this version. I will try to
make a SYSLINUX 2.00 some time this week if this tests out OK.
I will also hunt for similar bugs

I want to save 'tmp' under the name hidden in 'name', and the file must have

So I try

ActionWebService PDF...
Hello all - I''ve been lurking around the forums for awhile now and just
wanted to say that everyone here does a great job of helping each other
out...I think it goes a long way in helping even more people adopt Ruby
(and Rails)
I just wanted to let everyone know that I''m working on an online booklet
(PDF only) for O''Reilly that covers "Web Services with Ruby on

isolinux 2.0+ won't boot from DVD
I am trying to rebuild Red Hat Linux 9 on DVD. I am using the provided
isolinux 2.00 (I tried the latest 2.04, with the same results), and I
get an error trying to boot from the DVD. I burned the boot.iso
(basically a triple-wide boot disk using the same isolinux directory) to
DVD, and it booted fine. The error I get when booting the DVD using
isolinux-debug.bin is this (copied by hand):

File_Column Development Dead?
I''m curious if anyone knows if development on the file_column plug in is
continuing? I''ve seen some SVN commits from awhile back but no binary
releases.
Did Sebastian speak at Canada on Rails? Anyone catch that?
What is the future of file_column?

Message Filenames
Is there anyway to get a message's filename through the imap server? I've been developing a program for awhile and just switched to dovecot from courier. Courier had a file that for every line was like:
<message uid> <message filename>
Is there anway to get this information out of dovecot?
