Seagate floppy creator program doesnt work
Hi there, http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/download/seatoold_en.exe Seagate offers a Windows executable (needs Win98 or better, 1,9MB) that should create 2 bootable floppy disks that contain a harddrive check program. Invoking "wine seatoold_en.exe" works, but when the floppy should be written, an error occurs "insert 1.44 MB...click retry". I tried to mount a DOS

Parking in Asterisk 12.0.0
Hi I'm trying to get the rebuilt parking functionality to work in Asterisk 12.0.0. In Asterisk 11.6.0 I managed to get a call to get parked by adding a dynamic feature in features.conf for the DMTF sequence *# which called a macro in extensions.conf, which then runned the ParkAndAnnounce application, and the call got parked. The syntax for ParkAndAnnounce I used was this (I don't

Can't boot Syslinux from HD directly. Can indirectly?
I've installed Syslinux on a somewhat old system. The motherboard is based on an Intel 440GX chipset (specifically it's the Supermicro P6DGE if that means anything.) The harddrive has been split up into partitions of one hidden FAT16 (marked as active) to which syslinux is installed (hda1), one normal FAT32 which has windows and dos (hda2.) It also has an extended partition containing

syslinux boot fails with 2.4.18 but works with 2.2.22
I try to make a floppy disk for replaying a disk image to a harddrive. The image is on our server and is only accessable by nfs because its bigger than 2 gig so it is not possible to store it temporarily on the computer. So I created a floppy disk with syslinux 2.00, busybox 0.60.5 and uClibc 0.9.16. Using a 2.2.22 kernel (with nfs and all build in) all worked but busybox, cause uClibc won't

Question of syslinux chainloading
Lu Wei, What Hard drive are you also trying to boot? The first and only fixed drive inside a computer? If so would the line to boot a local HD not be: LABEL LOCAL MENU LABEL Local operating system in harddrive (if available) kernel chain.c32 append hd0 -Adan On Thu, Apr 4, 2019 at 8:56 AM Adan Calderon <adancalderon at gmail.com> wrote: > > Lu Wei, > > For the DOS portion

Unable to figure out extlinux
OK, been perusing the archives and Google, but can't find what I want. I'm building up a 512 MB compact flash using the CLFS directions to build the filesystem. That works great, but I would like to use extlinux to make the cflash bootable on my little SBC. However, to date, no dice. Attached is my extlinux.conf file and the steps I have used to make this work. Initially I tried to

Asterisk from flash with dynamic voicemail enable/disable?
I would like to create a rock solid asterisk server that comes up no matter what. Ofcourse I can consider hardware raid1 but.... for the cost of a hardware raid controller I can also buy a 2GB compact flash card that doesn't produce any heat or noise and is friendly to the electricity bill and our environment :) 2GB is more than sufficient for a linux distro and an * installation but

[BUG] boot failure since syslinux-3.00
Hi, This AMD Elan board seems to be very problematic: http://www.embeddedarm.com/products/board-detail.php?product=TS-5500 I'm having various issues with booting recent Linux kernels with syslinux. syslinux-2.13 was the last version that worked and since syslinux-3.00 it doesn't work. When it doesn't work all I get is "Boot failed" from the bootsector. Since the obvious

Re: SYSLINUX Digest, Vol 29, Issue 2
Sure, I don't mind testing it out on there for you, but, where do I find the pre releases to try then? At least we know it's between 2.13 and 3.00. That narrows it a bit I would think. Mind you, if it jumps up a major revision number, I guess that means a lot of changes went in. On 8/2/05, syslinux-request at zytor.com <syslinux-request at zytor.com> wrote: > Send SYSLINUX

Weird 'hairpin' call rtp audio problem
Hello List Asterisk 13.14.1 in use with pjsip stack. On the remote side is a SBC which performs some 'nat' detection. I suppose this means the SBC listens from where it is getting RTP data and then replies to that ip. As long as the asterisk is initiating the call this is fine, the asterisk start sending RTP to the media IP of the SBC and the SBC is sending media back. Now I want to do

Memdisk Ramdisk survive reboot
Hi all, I want to have a warmboot nonvolatile ramdisk to put and start XP from ram. That means that the ramdisk and its content have to survive a reboot on a "normal computer"! (No battery ...hihi) First I make a try with Microsoft ramdrive.sys and switch /e in config.sys from Dos 6.22 and with qemm386.sys but that doesnt work for me. Qemm (8, 97)does not work together with harddrive

Windows 2000 boot to ram
Hi all, I found a strange behavior in memdisk: I build an image of Windows 2000 (Fat32) with geometric of C=115 H=255 S=63. I testet it as a real harddisk and it works. I boot it to ram with memdisk initrd=w2000.img from my first harddrive, as discribed to boot with syslinux. It crashs with reboot, the time is to short to recognice the appearing letters before reboot. (Can I stop the screen?)

automounting a usb-harddrive/cdrom that can be mapped from the login script.
Hi, I am installing a Samba 3.0.1 on RH90 for a little school, and they want to have access to a mobile usb-harddrive. The harddrive shoud be mapped via the login script, and here is were my troubles begin.... I have been experimenting with the autofs service, which works great if the harddrive is present at login time. If one login at a time where the harddrive isn't present the login

unregistered trunks and registered phones coming from the same IP
Hi, I manage an SBC which stands between my company server farm and some SIP telco trunks. The system works fine, for inbound and outbound calls. Now I've configured the SBC to also act as a registration proxy, forwarding SIP registrations coming from the Internet to my asterisk servers. It all seems fine, but it doesn't work well, because by the time at least one phone registers through

Asterisk 13.18.3 PJSIP. Wrong Port in Contact Header in Reply to REGISTER?
Hi List I have been pondering over a problem to use an asterisk server behind an SBC unable to successfully handle registrations. Now I observed something strange which I suspect might be a bug on the asterisk side. The SBC originates is register from Port 6011 to Port 5060 on the Asterisk. The Contact Header of the REGISTER contains: Contact: user at SBC-IP:6011 The Asterisk is sending the
