Can't get if_txp(4) to attach to a 3CR990B-TXM NIC
Good morning, I'm having a bit of an issue getting a 3CR990B-TXM NIC detected and usable. Just wondering if anyone knows of any issues with this NIC chipset and/or with the motherboard chipset. The motherboard is a Biostar GeForce 6100 AM2 using an nVidia nForce 410 chipset and nVidia GeForce 6100 vide chipset. I've tried FreeBSD 6.1, 6.2, 6-STABLE (from Wed), and 7-CURRENT (from

PXELINUX 2.02 won't boot correctly
I am trying to use PXELINUX to quickly build a RedHat 7.3/Red Hat 8.0 network via TFTP, NFS, and Kickstart . I had this working previously with an older version of PXELINUX, but as I am trying to build a new network segment, I needed to set this up again. I have the files set up as specified, where my default file looks like: default linux label linux kernel vmlinuz append

mboot.c32/Xen compatible
Hello all, I'm new on the list and hope this question isn't out of order. I'm booting Xen with mboot.c32 but with 100mb/s cards. I want to upgrade to 1000mb/s. I haven't got the biggest budget to trial and error new network cards so I'd like to buy the right card first time. I think this can be a bit tricky from 100mb/s card experience. mount windows xp share
Hello, I've searched endlessly a solution to my problem without any luck. I'm trying to mount a Windows XP share to a Debian box like this. mount -t //smbuser@192.168.0.2/test /mnt/test and it just gives me: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //192.168.0.2/test, or too many mounted file systems it however works fine to smbclient //192.168.0.2/test -U smbuser any

QoS - Ping problem
Hello all, I have set my QoS solution and now I am facing a little problem... When I ping to my server it has some lost packages: Estatísticas do Ping para 172.30.0.1: Pacotes: SENDED = 1029, RETURNED = 880, LOST = 149 (14% de perda), Aproximar um número redondo de vezes em milissegundos: Mínimo = 0ms, Máximo = 686ms, Média = 105ms If I disable my QoS ping stats to be ok. Accessing attributes
I have a name of an attribute and I need to get its value and set a new value for it: x1 = a.foo a.foo = x2 How do I do that if the name of the attribute ''foo'' is a var? I thought about doing this: attribute_name = ''foo'' x1 = a.attributes[attribute_name] a.attributes[attribute_name] = x2 but this is a bypass and I''m quite sure it would cause

Very slow download with pxelinux > 4.07 on specific hardware
Yes on optiplex 790 i upgraded from A07 to A18 (there was a nic upgrade) but it didn't change anything.. On optiplex 380 i upgraded from bios A01 to A07(don't know if upgrade contained pxe or not)... I tried, lpxelinux.0 and it wasn't faster. Only v4.07 helped on these machines. Tomorrow, i will give a try with 6.03pre2. In wireshark, i saw no errors, the packet length was the

Ping interrupts and SSH laggy
Hi, i have succesfully configured Xen 3.0.4 with 2.6.16 kernel on some C2D hw with currently 2GB RAM. Only hitch was with the integrated Intel Gigabit network card which is not supported by by default xen kernel - so there is e1000 module compiled from intel sources. Server is connected on 100Mbit ethernet line. Network setting is currently bridged. At the moment 4 domUs with various linux PV

RE: Replacing an html chunk with a different htmlchunk
Actually, I see there are two other prototype calls: Element.remove(''foo''); Which does a parentNode.removeChild(), and Element.update(''foo'', ''some html''); Which does element.innerHTML = ''some html'', and executes any script that is in the string you pass in. -----Original Message----- From:

weirdness with PXELINUX
Hey Peter, rest, I'm trying to boot a linux-kernel tru pxelinux, but it hangs while initializing the CPU. When I boot the kernel from floppy everything works, but trying to boot the same kernel with pxelinux results in a choking kernel. If I touch the keyboard after it hangs, it panics. I'm using: - homegrown Linux-2.4.21-preSomething-acSomethingElse (booting well from a floppy disk

Notice the same thing happens with optiplex 790 (core i5 sandy bridge). With 790 too everything is ok with pxelinx 4.0.7. I'll post a wireshark later. Le 25/02/2014 17:06, H. I did some additional tests : On a dell optiplex 380, i disabled internal nic, added a 3com 905c tx external pci nic : very slow too. On a dell 740(which is always fast), i put the 3com to be sure : very fast. So it seems it is not related to the nic itself. To be sure it wasn't just one failing computer i tested several 380. I tried disabling several features in bios, like Execute

HTB stalling
Hi Couple months ago I started to have a strange problem with HTB. My setup is Fedora Core 2 + Pentium 2 233 + 128 MB of ram and its serving as a router. For some time since going to kernel 2.6 my HTB QoS Stalls for couple seconds, every couple minutes. If the connection load is bigger the stalling is more frequent and takes longer. I isolated the problem to be with HTB (CBQ works fine). The
