Memdisk & tomsrtbt
tom & peter Hi Guys, I have a little problem I'm hoping you can help me with. When I try to boot toms image, memdisk states a "fractional end sector" while loading the image. It continues with the process until I get a "Booting..." prompt and then freezes. Here's the whole story: A while back I acquired version tomsrtbt 2.0.103, to make a multi-image boot cd as

modifying isolinux.cfg of a given, bootable iso
Hello, I want to modify isolinux.cfg of a given, bootable iso (of Linux CentOs installation) according to my needs. The things is : I copy the contents of that iso to a different directory. I modify the isolinux.cfg according to my needs. Then what? I had of course googled for it. I had tried afterwards: mkisofs -o centos1.iso -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-i But

Looking for testers and advise about ISOLINUX within ISO 9660
Hi, we are the developers of an alternative to mkisofs: program xorriso from libburnia-project.org . The current development cycle is about support for creating bootable CDs, DVDs, BDs. So we look for testers and for advise about ISOLINUX specifics. The example from the ISOLINUX wiki is supposed to work if you replace "mkisofs" by "xorriso -as mkisofs". I.e: xorriso -as

Modifying a netinstall ISO image
I want to make a very minor change to the netinstall ISO image, namely adding a few parameters to the boot line to automatically kick off a kickstart installation. Here is my approach: mount -o loop CentOS-6.2-i386-netinstall.iso /mnt cp -pr /mnt /tmp cd /tmp/mnt vi isolinux/isolinux.cfg # Add some stuff to the default append line and reduce timeout mkisofs -o

Trying to build bootable iso but very confused by syslinux documentation
Hi, > I only have the vaguest > understand of what the flags in the man page of xorrisofs and xorriso are. The options reflect a long tradition of program mkisofs and the winded road of boot firmware entry points in ISO 9660 filesystems. So one cannot expect to find much of a common system in them. > there doesn't seem to > exist a hello word like exercise that is simple and

iso 2.00 isolinux: Checksum error, sorry...
Hi, I tried to install redhat 8.0 on a laptop and ran into the following problem. ISOLINUX 1.75 2002-06-14 isolinux failed to get sector size, assuming 0800 isolinux: Image checksum error, sorry... At that point, I followed the advice on the isolinux webpage, and reburned a CD using isolinux 2.00 with debug. The error message was: ISOLINUX 2.00 2002-10-25 Copyright (C) 1994-2002 H. Peter

PXE booting ISO images with ISOLINUX

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is
