Boot Linux from Linux
Dear Mr. H AGAIN: THANKS FOR YOUR PRODUCT! I am building a Beowulf Cluster for Meteorological Simulations (DK government) and must boot the buggers over and over again. At present boot and configure nodes in 3:40 min. Fault tolerans and speed 1. I can now promote a node to master (BOOTP/TFTP/NFS/Repository...). 2. I can now push Repository to secret partition nodes and boot

Potentially serious (but rare) issue with buffer.c and cipher.c
While rototilling packet.c, I did some looking at cipher_encrypt in cipher.c. It ends up that for SSH_CIPHER_NONE in cipher_encrypt, it uses memcpy. However, it also appears that dest and src can be equal in cipher_encrypt. On most sane libc implementations, memcpy == memmove. However, ANSI C makes no such guarantee, and some implementations out there are bound to try to optimize memcpy

Too many open files - Please help me ...
Hi, I have set up the samba/winbind (2.2.5) on my HPUX 11i, and have joined the domain with no problem. If i'm right, I should then be able to connect to the samba share as if i was an ordinary domain user or what ?? But I can't. The debug on winbind says: Added domain BRAPT98 (S-1-5-21-654460698-771908679-1844936127) [2002/08/19 10:30:33, 2] libsmb/namequery.c:(421) Got a positive

RODBC-Error-sqlSave
Dear R-community, After repeating the sqlSave-command 3 times on a dataframe (of size 13149 rows * 5 columns) to my MS-Access database I get the following error: *Error in sqlSave(channel, eksport_transp_acc_2, "transp_acc_scenarier", : unable to append to table ‘transp_acc_scenarier’* ** This means that the first 2 savings are completed, but the third-one is somehow not. I have an

Powerpoint 2007 will not advance slides when saved on a Samba share
I have a linux workgroup server which is now running Opensuse 13.1 with Samba version 4.1.19-3.36.1-3442-SUSE-oS13.1-x86_64. My latest update to try and resolve this issue. With Powerpoint 2003 everything worked as expected. With Powerpoint 2007, slides will not advance unless the file is saved locally on the client. The client has been Windows XP, Windows Vista and now Windows 7 64. All updates

Problem using the source-function within R-functions
Dear R community, You may have the solution to how to construct a function using the function "source()" to build the function; i.e. myfunction <- function(...){ source('file1.r') source('file2.r') } After compiling and installing the "myfunction" in R, then calling the "myfunction" gives an error because the content of 'file1.r' and

[LLVMdev] Python bindings for LLVM API
Hi, I would like to share my experimental LLVM API Python bindings with the LLVM enthusiasts. I have created Boost.Python wrappers largely for the VMCore interface and other selected interfaces (e.g. ExecutionEngine). The bindings provide direct runtime access to the LLVM bytecode and JIT execution features from Python. The bindings are complete enough so that one can e.g. run the Fibonacci

[LLVMdev] Python bindings for LLVM API
Jarno, This looks like it could be very valuable - thanks for making it available. Just out of curiosity, do you have any specific uses in mind for which you created these bindings? --Vikram http://www.cs.uiuc.edu/~vadve http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/ On Feb 23, 2005, at 5:21 PM, Jarno Seppänen wrote: > Hi, > > I would like to share my experimental LLVM API Python bindings with >

AW: User unknown in local recipient table
Hallo Liste, hallo Ralf, danke schon mal.

Samba/Winbind
Hi, I have a problem with getting winbind to work on my domain. I have installed ver 2.2.5 with winbind as a depot file, and that went ok. I have set up samba, and testparm finds no errors. I have joined the domain, again, no problem ! Now here's the thing: I cant use wbinfo: # ./wbinfo -u Error looking up domain users # ./wbinfo -t Could not check secret # ./wbinfo -g Error

Use R source in .net (R Source in .net einbinden)
Hi! I would like to use an existing R-code in an .net project. Now I realize that there exists a DCOM interface which enables me to use the Statconnector object in my c# project. That way I can get the results of terms using the .evaluate() method. My question is: Is it somehow possible to take a whole file of R code and have it evaluated, or is it possible to sort of compile the R source in

Help: Multi workgroup
Henrik, I'm CC'ing this to the main samba mailing list. Henrik Lassen wrote: > > We are working in a multi domain invironment and would like > to access/browse samba from two domains. A single Samba cannot currently exist in 2 separate domains. What I would do would be to setup two samba server's on the same machine and have all the shares listed in a file and for each

Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and s yslinux 2.04
This sounds kind of like what happened with me for earlier attempts at using syslinux. Skip using HPA's tools entirely and dd if=vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k count=1 and make sure that the kernel runs from a floppy disk. There'll be no file system or anything, but you'll make sure that your kernel isn't faulty. If it doesn't execute, then you can avoid the syslinux/pxelinux

FIX YOUR AUTO-RESPONDERS!!!
PLEASE CONFIGURE YOUR AUTORESPONSERS TO NOT SEND MESSAGES TO PEOPLE WHO POST IN MAILING LISTS YOU SUBSCRIBE TO. File/folder permission issues in 2.1.3
Hi, I figured out that Dovecot does not honer secondary groups with auth/auth-worker (??), if doing LDAP/TLS stuff. I had to use file system acls to add the user "vmail" to /etc/ssl/private and to the corresponding key file: doveconf -n # 2.1.3: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.32-40-generic-pae i686 Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS auth_master_user_separator = * auth_mechanisms = plain

Salvage or undelete files of damaged ext2/ext3 file systems
Hi! I have made some extensions to debugfs to undelete or recover files from a damaged ext3 file system. Salvage or undelete files of damaged ext2/ext3 file systems debugfs salvage command can be used to salvage files from a damaged ext3 or ext2 file system. The code is alpha, so use at your own risk. the usage is: salvage first-block count-blocks Salvage tries to salvage files found in
