Hi Mr Anvin, I'm using your isolinux.cfg file in Bart's CD creating files, and was hoping you could help me with something. When the CD boots and you're shown the menu (which is from your isolinux.cfg file I think), I'm hoping there may be a command that I can use with your isolinux.cfg file to check for a specific file on the primary hard drive (Like the old DOS IF EXIST command).

Problems making custom isolinux.cfg
I have added a few custom RPM's to my CentOS 5.2 CD, dropped a kickstart.cfg file in the root of the CD, and now want to change the isolinux.cfg in the boot.iso so that it will automatically do a kickstart install when the CD boots up. I am using buildinstall to make the ISO. I edited the isolinux.cfg in /isolinux in my CentOS 5.2 distribution tree off of which I am building my ISO. But

ISOLINUX help requested (checksum error)
Hi Mr Anvin, after downloading the Freedos bootable cd, which now uses your projects (ISOLINUX & MEMDISK) instead of Bart Lagerweij's DISKEMU (www.nu2.nu), I contacted the creator of the freedos cdrom. I was interested in how he did make that cd bootable. Now I understand it a bit. As I'm a MS Windows user, I had to figure some things out. However, upon booting I get a beautiful

SYSLinux/ISOLinux question
Look into the original XP cd and see where NTLDR is located, then place it on your cd in the same directory and it 'should' work. I have created some 2000 XP boot cd's with integrated recent service pack's and they still boot. But I do that with cdrecord+original boot sector, not with any isolinux stuff... But I hope this help! -----Original Message----- From: G. Murali

ISOLINUX: Updating ISOLINUX.CFG Q
I have a non-bug related question, which has been giving me fits for a while. Can ISOLINUX.CFG be updated on a multi-session disc ? It seems not, as I make m/s CDs all the time and can change every other file on the disc, exc ISOLINUX.CFG. My best guess at this point is that ISOLINUX.BIN can't access secondary sessions on the disc, pos related to the boot-info-table patch. Whether

PXE booting ISO images with ISOLINUX

isolinux probles
Hi, I'm trying to create a bootable CD, and so far I have had limited success. On the first CD I created, isolinux worked, but I think I had a kernel without the necessary initrd support compiled in, so the boot failed. Now I can't even re-create that success. At the moment the CD's I'm burning (3 so far) do not even show the display file. I used isolinux-debug.bin for the

Hi, David Christensen wrote: > The USB flash drive boots the Debian installer in the old PC! Looks like it is surrounded by a little empire of .cfg files: /isolinux/adgtk.cfg /isolinux/adtxt.cfg /isolinux/exithelp.cfg /isolinux/gtk.cfg

isolinux.cfg location?
Hi, On isolinux's website, it is stated that: "NOTE: ISOLINUX will search for the config file directory in the order /boot/isolinux, /isolinux, /. The first directory that exists is used, even if it contains no files. Therefore, please make sure that these directories don't exist if you don't want ISOLINUX to use them." Why this limitation is present?? I'm trying
