Intel Boot Agent 4.0.19
First, THANKS! The SYSLINUX/PXELINUX s/w and docs are great. I have been able to set up a working server for PXE boot in very little time, using our existing Win2k DHCP server and a Red Hat 7.2 Linux server for tftp, etc... It took very little time (compared to an earlier effort 4 months ago.....) and the pxelinux/menu/memdisk environment is great for us. The environment seems to support PXE

Intel Boot Agent: PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout for correctly configured tftp-hpa
Hello. In my case I can successfully boot up my Thinkpad X32, but the same configuration doesn't work for my desktop computer with Intel network card, with Intel Boot Agent 2.2 DHCP server is 10.0.0.1, tftpd (used tftp-hpa) runs on 10.0.0.32. netstat told me the daemon listen to 69 UDP port just fine. running tftp in commandline also shows it works (retrieve pxelinux.0 less then 1 second).

IBA 4.x -> broken localboot in pxelinux
As subject says: With Intel PXE stack version 4.x (stack identifies itself in BIOS as IBA 4.0.x or 4.1.x), pxelinux' localboot option hangs instead of going to BIOS. This does not happen with older PXE stack. I have a feeling that the this broke somewhere in version 2.x - I *believe* 1.75 PXELINUX works fine - but haven't had a chance to try again. -alex

How to test the model dependence ?
Good morning, I''m new to rails and am having some basic questions in development. See if anyone can help me with a test problem. I need to test if my model "Procedure" is linked to the workflow. If not, the system must acknowledge an error. Below is the code that is in the file test \ unit \ procedure_test.rb. require ''test_helper'' class ProcedureTest <

Centos 5.3, no AHCI on HP DL320 G5p?
I have one HP Proliant DL320 G5p, where for some reason, the AHCI mode is not enabled. According to server specs, it should have AHCI/NCQ capability, but ata_piix module gets loaded during bootup, not ahci module. Any ideas how to enable AHCI mode? lspci output: # lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 3200/3210 Chipset DRAM Controller (rev 01) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation

Conversión de variable categóricas a Númericas.
Cordial saludo.

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card [UPDATE]
Hello Arnaud, On 05/04/14 22:01, Arnaud Quette wrote: > Philippe, Ivan, > > please see https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/118 > and send back your data. I've pasted the requested files in github, but the auto-formatting may have damaged them, so here they are. Also, when I ran gen-snmp-subdriver.sh, it gave me the following message:

tftp file size limit: pxelinux.0 vs. syslinux.efi
Hello, I am pxebooting a large linux kernel (with embedded initramfs) that is around 250 MB in size. When booting a board in legacy BIOS mode, the pxelinux.0 executable is transferred to the board and takes over, from where loading and booting this large kernel works as expected. Actually, better than expected, as no tftp file size limit is incurred. If I change the BIOS settings to UEFI mode,

Best way to deal with an idiosyncracy of Intel Boot Agent (IBA)...
All, I have a question on how to deal with a quirk of the Intel Boot Agent. Both for PXE boots and for EFI boots. I've noticed this IBA quirk for years. According to the "DHCP options" RFC, variable length DHCP options are not necessarily null-terminated. Here's the details: >From DHCP Options and BOOTP Vendor Extensions (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2132#section-2)

connecting 66 analog phones to asterisk - hardware suggestions
Hi, I am looking to connect 66 analog phones to an asterisk box. I was thinking of a Xorcom astribank 32port (2 of them and another 8 port). this is because the phones have no near connection to an ip network, so replacing the phones in favor of voip phones+network cabling is kinda out of the question. In your experience, will these units support all the phones talking at the same time with

snmp-ups sends status "OL OB" on HP R3000 UPS with AF465A management card [UPDATE]
Additional question: I noticed on the HP Website that the latest version of "CPQPOWER.MIB" (1.76, dated Sept. 19, 2013) was more recent than the related file (./drivers/compaq-mib.c) in the NUT driver. Is the MIB structure as implemented on the management card perhaps no longer in line with the NUT driver ? The latest MIB file can be downloaded from the following URL:

xen-ioemu-3.0: AMD vs. Intel
I saw Nate Carlson's message saying "..and it has been tested on amd64". I just installed it on an HP DL320 with Intel Pentium D 930, running i386 Sarge+backports. The packages seem to work here with Intel VT as well - in fact I just got through the Windows 2003 installation to the point where I could switch from VNC to RDP. Cool! Note to self: maybe one shoud start hacking

Hyperthreaded CPU and SMP kernel
Hi gang! I'm using Centos 4.4 at work on a HP Proliant DL320 G2, which has a Hypterthreaded Pentium IV CPU. I used to use RHEL WS 2.1 on it, and RH installed and used the SMP kernel. Centos 4.4 did NOT install the SMP kernel. Is there some reason why I should NOT install it myself? I.e., some reason why an SMP kernel shouldn't be used on such a machine? SMP on a HP DL-320 G2
Hi gang! At work I have a DL320 G2 machine I use as my desktop (I know, weird!...). Back when I ran RHEL WS 2.1 on it, it always ran a SMP kernel because it has a HypterThread capable processor. When I installed (fresh from scratch) Centos 4.4 on it a while back, though, Centos installed only the UP kernel. I've looked in the BIOS for settings to enable/disable HT support and I don't
