tftp-hpa 0.28, 0.29 interoperability problem
Hi,
I have a tftp client which loads quite happily from a tftpd built
from netkit-tftp-0.16 but which fails to load from from a tftpd built
from tftp-hpa 0.29. In both cases, tftpd was built from pristine
sources and run from xinetd under Redhat 7.3.
[netkit-tftp-0.16 is the ancestor of tftp-hpa, predating HPA's
maintenance of same]
[the tftp client also..
.. fails with the prebuilt tftpd

tftp-hpa and remap file examples
We just started playing round with tftp-hpa and we are very happy!
The issue that is prompting me to write this is that we would like to
use the remap file, but are having a hard time getting the syntax
correct. I have searched the web and mailing list archive (only back to
when the list moved to it's current location), but have not been able to
find any examples.
Would somebody be so kind

tftp-hpa 5.2
I sure did check the firewall and selinux as well. As an extreme testing major, they are both turned off.
$ systemctl status firewalld
firewalld.service - firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon
? ?Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/firewalld.service; disabled)
? ?Active: inactive (dead)
sestatus?
SELinux status: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? disabled
Actually, now tftp transfers are denied

tftp-hpa 5.2
Hello everyone,
I am having difficulties in setting up a tftp server on a Fedora 3.14.8-200.fc20.x86_64.
Running tftp client to test the server functionality, a simple get from the terminal prompts 'Transfer timed out.' back.
The version is tftp-hpa 5.2, with remap, with tcpwrappers, unfortunately I am not able to find any log in the system journal.?
The server and related services appear

tftp-hpa server hooks to external programs
Hello tftp-hpa community,
I am trying to locate a tftp server that I can integrate with an external
program/database application, and was wondering if tftp-hpa might have the
capability I am looking for.
Upon the tftp server receiving a read request, and before it sending a read
request reply, I would like to communicate to an external program (and/or
database). In real-time, the external

Making tftp-hpa ignore files
Hey folks,
Is there any way to make tftp-hpa ignore certain files in the tftpboot
directory (-s /tftpboot) based on their filenames? We're running into
an issue where users place an auto-config file in the directory and then
about 3,000 routers download this, overriding their correct
configurations. Obviously the root issue is that people are placing
these files there in the first

tftp-hpa server with multiple network interfaces
Hello,
A host of mine which acts as a gateway for a cluster also acts as a dhcp
and tftp server for the cluster nodes. Recently, for reasons that are
not really important we changed the interfaces so that eth0 is conencted
to our production network and the eth1 network is connected to the
cluster's internal network. It was the opposite before. Normally, we
want most of the services running on

tftp server error
I have got a Solaris 9 package build from the latest tftp software at
ftp.kernel.org.
When I do the following:
./in.tftpd -l -s /tftpboot -m /tftprules -v
The tftp server does not start. The error in /var/adm/messages is
"too many -s directories".
If i do
./in.tftpd -l -s /tftpboot -v
then it works fine. But i need remap feature for my project.
The message I get when i do

porting to tftp-hpa version tftp-server-0.39-3.el4.x86_64.rpm
Dear tftp-hpa'ers,
We are migrating from Solaris 2.8 to RHEL 4.6 64 bit. So are in the
process of migrating our Solaris 2.8 tftp servers (as well as lots of
other servers) to the latest tftp-hpa version available to RHEL 4 users:
tftp-server-0.39-3.el4.x86_64.rpm. Since this version was made available
roughly a year ago would guess it probably contains roughly the same
fixes as your version

tftpd-hpa issue: I think, anyway
I have spent the last two hours on this issue. I think there's a
problem with tftp-hpa.
Setup: attempting to use Debian FAI, but there is definitely a
problem with PXELINUX. pxelinux.0 is obviously being loaded by
clients, but *nothing* in the pxelinux.cfg directory can be loaded.
Clients sit and spin on their MAC files and when they get to default
nothing happens. This is

(hpa-tftpd] remapping with regular expression problem
Hi mailing list,
I'm working on PXE booting a BartPE (=Windows XP) system from a server running
hpa tftpd.
In the initialization phase the files are requested from the boot server by TFTP, later
the transfer is switched to SMB.
Most of the problems during this tftp phase can be solved with the remapping feature
quite nicely like:
*converting filenames into absolute paths

problems with tftp-hpa timing out.
I'm difficulty diagnosing a tftp-hpa problem. Specfically, when
performing a PXE boot, the machine hangs at the "TFTP...." and times out.
This is only occuring at one network location (we'll call it network A).
Now on network B, the computers on network can tftp boot no problem.
If I run a tftp client from my workstation to connect to the tftp-hpa
server on network A, I can

[PATCH RESEND] tftp-hpa: Fix build error with GCC 10 due to multiple definition of `toplevel'
Hi
When building with GCC 10, gcc is stricter in handling handling of
symbol clashes.
Fedora, has fixed this with a patch from Dominik Mierzejewski:

Attaching the corresponding patch for git am.
I'm sending the patch which was submitted a while ago to the list. Is
there something you wanted to be

tftp-hpa backport to openbsd tftpd
Hi
I'm working on an update of the openbsd tftpd, mainly to support RFC
2349 (tsize option; and 2347-2348 too). In fact, i backport from
tftp-hpa (which came from an old openbsd cvs).
I know, i can use tftp-hpa but first it doesn't compile on openbsd,
second, i hope the backport could be include in openbsd cvs ...
does someone know a tftp client or a test to really know what is good or
