Reuse Partials
Hi all,
This is my first official post as RoR developer, so here it is.
I''ve got a partial for a Address (Postcode, Address, City, ...). I want
to use this partial multiple times on the same form? So I want to fill
in multiple addresses and insert them individualy. How do I go about
doing this?
Kind Regards,

Emulation question
Hello,
I'm using syslinux to create bootable CDs, and I'm stuck. I'm new to the
list so if there is relevant documentation just point me at it.
I'm not able to get an image created with the mkisofs option -hard-disk-boot.
Here's what I've done...
First, I cloned the bootable Redhat CD, put it on my hard drive, created an
image with mkisofs, and booted the CD. This

CentOS 7 : keyboard shortcut for mouse gesture?
Hi,
I have a CentOS 7 (GNOME) desktop installed as a VirtualBox guest on my
Slackware64 14.1 workstation, to fiddle with it. Guest Additions are
installed and configured OK, and 3D acceleration is working too.
In its default configuration, the GNOME desktop under CentOS shows an
"expos?" (I don't know how you call this), a list of all open windows,
when you move the mouse cursor to

Question on "root pivot" function
Seth,
Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry to bother with this, but what is
the "root pivot" function and
where can I find doc's on it.
From what I understand from your email the system would basically boot
twice. Once from a stripped
kernel on the floppy disk to mount the CD, and then after the CD is
mounted it would reboot with the
kernel and initial randisk found on the

Opera 7
Hi guys,
I was just surprised to see that the Opera 7 Installer (without Java) runs
perfectly and installs Op7. After that I was even more surprised to see that
also Opera itself starts without any modifications needed as wine opera.exe.
But surfing a little around I found some problems, for which perhaps anyone
here has a solution?
- sadly it crashes every now and then. I suspect something

Suggesting changes to HELP files?
Is there a procedure for suggesting changes to HELP files of the core
R distribution? If yes, what is it? If it would be considered a
friendly gesture, I could find the relevant *.Rd file and submit a
suggested modification to it someplace. Alternatively, I could just
send suggestions someplace if they would receive appropriate
consideration.
On many occasions, I think of

isolinux source, detecting 8086 cpu
Hi, I was looking through isolinux and noticed you had trouble detecting
8086 cpu's. I have some experience with this so I thought you might
like some different info. The behavior of the "push sp" instruction
changed after the 8086 to pushing sp before updating it. I've included
a snippet of one of my bootstraps in case you want to use it (or just
want to understand better).

Dos Btrieve Windows 98 and Samba 4.0
?We are trying to migrate a Dos based btrieve application from Windows NT
to Samba 4?.1.6-Ubuntu. Running one client works, running more that one
client do not work.
I searched Google and there are many historic pages about issues related to
the btrieve / Samba combination.
Are there stable solutions of this issue?

Metadata
ok - I'm now starting a new bitstream on each song change, but still no-go.
Only on the very first reconnect does the title streaming show correct.
The metadata information however NEVER displays correctly in the stats.xml -
even though the comment headers seem to be fine - so I suspect I need to use
another method?
btw - Metdata inside OddCast DSP seems to work fine...

FW: FW: FW: FW: Adding OpenBSD sudo to the FreeBSD base system?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

"All you need to do is uncomment that and viola, you have default su
behavior -- anyone in the wheel group allowed to sudo as any other user."
Exactly! Every other user can sudo.
I run many shell servers I do not want every user being able to sudo.
With su, first they have to break into an account that is part of the wheel
group. Then

Distribution transformations
Dear R-Users,
I have a question that bothers me in the last few days. It is supposed to be easy but I can't come up with a solution.
Are there any functions in R dealing with transforming empirical and parametric distributions? I have two data sets of observed variables that I want to transform to Frechet and Uniform distribution.
I would appreciate if someone could inform me about

SYSLINUX 1.73-pre4 released
Yet another test release for the rewrite in progress. This version
generalizes the definition of a boot sector, and puts the boot sector
code into all the modules, so that a CD-ROM "boot sector" (like WinNT
uses) and a PXE NBP should now all be possible to chainload.
PLEASE test it out, pretty please... I haven't heard anything from
anyone since at least 1.73-pre2.

isolinux bug?
Please forgive me if this is a known issue or "feature". I didn't notice
anything in the list archives or the docs, so I'm assuming this is a bug.
I was attempting to create a bootable LFS cd using the instructions found at
http://hints.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/boot-cd_easy.txt. I wasn't following
the steps exactly as I had some personal changes I wanted to make. One

chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi,
chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and
stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a
passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that
chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and
that chan_misdn is better suited for general misdn
