'implicit' doesn't prevent additional parameters?
Hi, just tried the 'implicit 0'-option with pxelinux (btw, 1.73Pre6 - works). What I wanted is preventing tricksters to give additional parameters on the commandline. It prevents giving something different from the 'label'-statement ('Could not find kernel image:..'), but if I give e.g. linux init=/bin/sh it gives me a root shell. It should have taken the

1.73-pre6 doesn't like kbdmap
Hi, just tried 1.73-pre6 pxelinux: - booting linux works - memdisk with 1.44M Dos image works - the 'kbdmap'-parameter fails: [..] Unknown keyword in config file. Missing parameter in config file. boot: - and it doesn't remap any keys. I tried 1.66 with the same config file and it works, it accepts 'kbdmap' and also remaps the keys. Regards, Josef

Samba does not link to ldap
Samba can not link to ldap Samba can not retrieve password information for users. I have got stuck with the problem outlined below. I have already spent 2 weeks trying to find information on the www and various mailing lists, without success. I would be happy if someone has an idea what I have to fix. I do not particularly need ldap, so if anybody can tell me how to seperate Samba from ldap it

[PATCH 0/1] lss16 parser
Hi, this patch is not a finished job; It fixes some regression issues but it displays some other ones. It initially deals with the correct migration (asm to C ) of the lss16 parser code at core/graphics.c referenced here: http://bugzilla.syslinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10 There were some emails with reports, and a couple of emails with some (incomplete, and erroneous) attempt to solve the issue.

nilo -> tftp-hpa interaction
I downloaded nilo and oskit from www.nilo.org. Added pcnet32.c linux-2.0.39 driver to oskit. Compiled nilo with pcnet32 and produced boot floppy image. Use it inside vmware vm. My aim is to be able to test pxelinux using vmware+nilo and not a real machine. Floppy starts, detects nic, receives ip from dhcp server, requests boot image to tftpd-hpa, then crashes when talking to tftp. Is

LSS16 mime
G'day, I created a file to add mime-type detection for lss16 images... All you need to do is put it (unzipped) in /usr/share/mime/packages (or your equivalent) and run: update-mime-database -V /usr/share/mime Then you can just associate lss images with Mtpaint, to make life easier... Note: - I didn't know about the name (lss vs. lss16), so I just went by what the "file"

pxelinux 2.04+ hangs after loading kernel
Hi, I just tried to boot my token ring devices with 2.05 - to no avail, it hangs after loading the kernel. I then tried older versions, and found 2.03 booting like a charm, and every 2.04-pre including 2.04 hanging. Here's the config of the devices: - Networkstation 2800 with IBM PCI Token Ring card 2 - IBM Thinkpad T21 with IBM PCI Token Ring card 2 Maybe this has to do with the changes
