bacula rpm --rebuild on x86_64?
I tried to install the latest bacula last night, rebuilding from the source rpm ... this is the command line I used, following the instructions at bacula.org: # rpmbuild --rebuild --define "build_centos4 1" \ --define "build_x86_64 1" --define "build_mysql4 1" bacula-1.39.26-1.src.rpm but the rebuild fails, citing all sorts of dependencies being required. problem

how to handle a random password in a config file?
Hi I''m trying to configure bacula''s config file. The issue is everytime the script runs a new key gets generated for bacula. Anyone installed the amazon downloader on 5.1?
Just tried to install the Amazon-downloader on Centos 5.1 (the Fedora 8 version, which seems the closest match of any they offer). Of course it gets a bazillion unfulfilled dependencies. so I tried "yum localinstall ./a*m" and it trundles along for a while finding several of the packages available then spews out this: Error: Missing Dependency: libboost_date_time.so.3 is needed by

Bacula 9.4.1 Dbdriver issue
Hi list, I created my rpm for Bacula 9.4.1 reading centos srpm spec files. I made a single package and not split in several packages because this is my first rpm so I created my spec file taking a cue from bacula-5.3 spec file. All works as intended, an rpm was created and installed without any not fixable issue. After installing my bacula rpm I run a test to see if all works as expected.

Requires from other modules / requires with aliases
Hi everyone, I''ve been working on a module for bacula, and I''m having a problem requiring resources I''ve defined in other modules. At the moment, I have the following (simplified): /etc/puppet/modules/bacula/manifests/init.pp: class bacula { ... define configure ( $gui="true", $db_password ) { ... postgresql::create_db {

Bacula backup system
Hi there, In my last request I have asked info about backuppc and other backup solutions. After some test I have choosen bacula. Many people said it's too complex and try to make it works is a challenge. I've tested backuppc and I don't like it for a stupid reason... I must install on centos external software, configure a web server with cgi with suid enabled (apache does not have

yum install fails - itertoolsmodule.so
I've just tried a yum update on one of my C7 boxes and got the following output. I'm guessing to fix this I need to re-install the RPM, but I can't remove it because of dependancies, so how can I fix the problem? I've managed to download a later version of the RPM, but haven't managed to find the same version as the one installed. Gary [root at zeppo ~]# yum install There

CentOS Bugtracker: how to give up on an issue?
Every time I go to http://bugs.centos.org/my_view_page.php I am shown, under "Reported by me", three problems with the CentOS Bacula packages which I reported in 2011, complete with proposed fix, but which never got any love (status still "new"): 0005271 missing dependency mt-st bacula - 2011-11-28 12:44 0005261 make_catalog_backup.pl creates .my.cnf with bad mode bacula -

Checking out yum localinstall before installing
I want to just see what will happen (ie success, or some dependencies still cannot be met) with: yum localinstall whatever.rpm I ASSuME (I have googled for this, but it is not clear) that localinstall will take the rpm, install it, and go to the yum repro to meet any outstanding dependencies. I just want to test this right now, not actually do it. I want to know what yum would install from
