Thank you for reading this, sorry to waste bandwidth otherwise. I am part of a US company looking for someone to setup a demo IVR system for us. I seem unable with my current knowledge to pull this off myself. The demo is the regular enter your id and validate/repeat/continue methodoligy you put up with in everyday life. I would like to have the validation and other parts done via database

yum grouplist error
I keep a local copy of the yum repository using rsync every night. Commands like "yum update" still work, but lately I've been getting the following error: # yum grouplist Setting up Group Process Setting up repositories Error: Caching enabled and local cache: //var/cache/yum/base/ yumgroups.xml does not match checksum My nightly rsync cron job doesn't update

yumgroups.xml
Not sure if I'm overlooking this somehow but is there a yumgroups.xml file for the [base] repository in CentOS 5? I've checked a few mirrors and didn't see it and a `yum grouplist` with only the base, updates, and extras repositories enabled looks like this: Setting up Group Process Setting up repositories base 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00

CentOS 6 yum Groupinstall vs Manual install
Gentlemen, I have a question regarding yum groupinstall vs just using yum install. I have been reading tutorials online (for example how to run a Centos LAMP). Most of the tutorials have examples to install httpd, mysql, etc using yum install httpd.... The reason for this e-mail is that I noticed in yum grouplist that there is an option to install Web Server, MySQL database server, etc.

Kickstart package groups
Hello, I'm building another kickstart CD, minimal, and creating my own repository. Is there any way I can get the list of files that a group (like @core o @base) will install? The idea is to put only those files in the repository to be included later in the iso file, and only those files, nothing else. Thanks in advance Francisco -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Goog morning to the list, for all users that are interested about KDE Plasma on Centos 8 you can install KDE from epel. All packages are get from epel-playground and epel-testing and some packages seems need to be build. I run "yum grouplist" and see kde workspace available. I tried to install it, reboot my machine and running startx a KDE plasma session was correctly launched. I

yum custom install
I am trying to learn some of the in's and out's of yum, and thanks to the help of many on this forum, things are beginning to make more sense (though I still have a lot more to learn). My initial Centos install was the "minimum". From there I used yum grouplist and yum installgroup. However, one of the members helped me with using yum to install php-mysql and I just found
