Hello, I'm running FreeBSD 9.0/amd64, pure ZFS setup, one Seagate disk ST2000NM0011 SN02 on LSI Logic (mpt) controller. Yes, I know that running one disk on RAID controller is a bit weird, I have to find yet if it is possible to connect disk to internal SATA controller. About two days ago, system became SLOW. We are using following dtrace script to analyze an application. However we see different number of lwp_yield and yield calls reported depending on whether we trace mutex_lock or mutex_unlock or not. Users write to the server via Samba and are far from computer geeks so teaching them to use some safedelete utility is quite impossible. Hello, I converted one of my servers to ext3 and load average numbers went up. Now they are ~2-3 while on ext2 LA was <0.4. And I'm constantly seeing processes and kjournald in D state. vmstat confirms that. But even in such LA CPUs are ~99% idle. What can be wrong? RedHat 7.1 kernel 2.4.18-18.7.xsmp. SCSI cards: Compaq RAID array controller (cciss) and Q Logic ISP1020 (isp_mod).

Hello, How to explain to fdisk that /dev/sda size changed? I increased LUN on storage, reloaded iscsi, did echo 1 > /sys/<something>/rescan. And I see in "dmesg" that kernel found new size of the LUN. But when I type "fdisk /dev/sda" it still shows old size. On /dev/sda1 sits LVM PV and I'd like to resize it instead of adding one more PV to volume group.
