[PATCH] xenpm: assorted adjustments
- use consistent error values (stop mixing of [positive] errno values
with literal -E... ones)
- properly format output
- don''t use leading zeros in decimal output
- move printing of average frequency into P-state conditional (rather
than a C-state one)
- don''t print some C-state related info when CPU idle management is
disabled in the hypervisor
- use calloc() for array

[PATCH 0 of 2] Fix correctness race in xc_mem_paging_prep
ging_prep ensures that an mfn is backing the paged-out gfn, and
transitions to the next state in the paging state machine for this page.
Foreign mappings of the gfn will now succeed. This is the key idea, as it
allows the pager to now map the gfn and fill in its contents.
Unfortunately, it also allows any other foreign mapper to map the gfn and read
its contents. This is particularly dangerous

Kernel crash with acpi_processor, cpu_idle and intel_idle =y
Hi everyone,
When I set CONFIG_ACPI_PROCESSOR, CONFIG_CPU_IDLE and CONFIG_INTEL_IDLE
to y then I cannot boot Xen; there is a crash. If I turn
CONFIG_INTEL_IDLE off then the boot goes well and, after dom0 has
booted, xenpm works and gives some sane output, see below. I have
tested this with kernels 3.2 to 3.4.6.
Is it impossible to use INTEL_IDLE with Xen? If this is a known issue
then maybe

[PATCH]Add free memory size of every NUMA node in phsical info
Returns free memory size per node in "xm info". This info can help users
who want to bind their guest domain in one node of their NUMA machines
thought set CPU affinity. I also write IA64 part support which I would
send to XEN-IA64 mail-list. Thanks.

[PATCH] xen: arm: document which hypercalls (and subops) are supported on ARM
From: Ian Campbell <ian.campbell@citrix.com>
There are many hypercalls which make no sense or which are not supported on ARM
systems but it''s not all that obvious which ones we do support. So lets try and
document the hypercalls which are useful on ARM.
I''m not sure this is the best way to go about this, I''m open to other ideas.

[PATCH] nr_cpus calculation problem due to incorrect sockets_per_node
Testing on an 8-node 128-way NUMA machine has exposed a problem with
Xen''s nr_cpus calculation. In this case, since Xen cuts off recognized
CPUs at 32, the machine appears to have 16 CPUs on the first and second
nodes and none on the remaining nodes. Given this asymmetry, the
calculation of sockets_per_node (which is later used to calculate
nr_cpus) is incorrect:

[xen-unstable] Commit 2ca9fbd739b8a72b16dd790d0fff7b75f5488fb8 AMD IOMMU: allocate IRTE entries instead of using a static mapping, makes dom0 boot process stall several times.
Hi Jan,
After commit 2ca9fbd739b8a72b16dd790d0fff7b75f5488fb8 AMD IOMMU: allocate IRTE entries instead of using a static mapping, booting dom0 stalls several times.
Sometimes this results in RCU stall warnings from the dom0 kernel, hitting the "any" key, on normal or serial console, makes the boot continue for a while but it stalls several times.
(It also stalls on shutdown BTW)
I have

[PATCH v3 0/6] ARM hypercall ABI: 64 bit ready
Hi all,
this patch series makes the necessary changes to make sure that the
current ARM hypercall ABI can be used as-is on 64 bit ARM platforms:
- it defines xen_ulong_t as uint64_t on ARM;
- it introduces a new macro to handle guest pointers, called
XEN_GUEST_HANDLE_PARAM (that has size 4 bytes on aarch and is going to
have size 8 bytes on aarch64);
- it replaces all the occurrences of

[RFC/PATCH v4] XENMEM_claim_pages (subop of existing) hypercall
This is a fourth cut of the hypervisor patch of the proposed
XENMEM_claim_pages hypercall/subop, taking into account
feedback from Jan and Keir and IanC, plus some fixes found
via runtime debugging (using privcmd only) and some
added comments/cleanup.
[Logistical note: I will be out tomorrow (Friday) plus US
holidays next week so my responsiveness to comments may be
slower for awhile. --djm]

Survey Package with Binary Data (no Standard Errors reported)
Hi,
I'm trying to get standard errors for some of the variables in my data
frame. One of the questions on my survey is whether faculty coordinate
across curriculum to include Arts Education as subject matter. All the
responses are coded in zeros and ones obviously. For some of the other
variables I have a 2 for those that responded with "Don't Know".
I'm getting NA for

[PATCH v2 0/4] XEN: fix vmx exception mistake
Changes from v1:
- Define new struct hvm_trap to represent information of trap, include
instruction length.
- Renames hvm_inject_exception to hvm_inject_trap. Then define a couple of
wrappers around that function for existing callers, so that their parameter
lists actually *shrink*.
This series of patches fix the mistake for debug exception(#DB), overflow
exception(#OF) and INT3(#BP),

[PATCH 0 of 2] v2: memshare/xenpaging/xen-access fixes for xen-unstable
The following two patches allow the parallel use of memsharing, xenpaging and
xen-access by using an independent ring buffer for each feature.
Please review.
v2:
- update mem_event_check_ring arguments, check domain rather than domain_id
- check ring_full first because its value was just evaluated
- check if ring buffer is initialized before calling

[PATCH] xenpm: make argument parsing and error handling more consistent
Specifically, what values are or aren''t accepted as CPU identifier, and
how the values get interpreted should be consistent across sub-commands
(intended behavior now: non-negative values are okay, and along with
omitting the argument, specifying "all" will also be accepted).
For error handling, error messages should get consistently issued to
stderr, and the tool should now

[PATCH 1/2] xen, libxc: init msix addr/data with value from qemu via hypercall
Accelerated msix entry is initialized to zero when msixtbl_pt_register is
called. This doesn''t match the value from qemu side, although pirq may already
be mapped and binded in qemu side. Kernel will get wrong value when reading
msix info.
