So here I am ;b I'm using the following script to backup my data to a Network Attached Storage that has an ext3 formated hdd that is mounted via NFS script: http://pastebin.com/f6b7115c9 This script works fine for /home but

mount.nfs: an incorrect mount option was specified
Hey guys, My NFS server has been working really well for a long time now. Both client and server run CentOS 7.2. However when I just had to remount one of my home directories on an NFS client, I'm now getting the error when I run mount -a mount.nfs: an incorrect mount option was specified This is the corresponding line I have in my fstab file on the client:

nfs4 problem in CENTOS6
Hi, This is slightly offtopic, but I have been trying to resolve that problem for two days now without much success. It looks like this may be something that works with CENTOS5, but not with CENTOS6! I have two machines, fileserver1 and server5. fileserver1 runs on CENTOS6 (virtualized, if this is important), server5 runs on Centos5. Both are running with the most recent updates. Server5 is a

Slow header fetching rate over nfs mailspool.
We are setting up a Dovecot over a pair of NFS which mirrored with DRBD +Heartbeat, under Debian Etch AMD64 with Kernel 2.6.22-5. The problem was slow header downloading rate. We had tried to use postal to inject 500 emails which are under 5KB each, but when ever we start up Mail.app, Thunderbird or even OE6, the header download rate is terrible slow. Its look like a few sec for just 1

Facter and arrays
Hi, Is it possible to have an array as the output of a custom fact? And then to pass it into a template in Puppet? I currently have a fact that looks like this: Facter.add("exports") do setcode do case Facter.hostname when (/thishost/i): [ "/local", "/local2" ] end end end & a template like this: <%

vpopmail over NFS not seeing new messages.
Hi all. We've just migrated our back-end NFS mailstore from FC1 systems to CentOS4 and are experiencing problems/delays with vpopmail and user Maildirs. IMAP is fine, it's just POP access that causes us problems. Now, NFS mounts successfully, the clients can see /home/vpopmail and serve content as we would expect. IMAP works perfectly and sees new messages as soon as they're

Problems with descriptions.
Hi guys! I can?t find an answer in google, so my last hope is this mailing list. Story. I have two servers with same arrays. Servers connected by DRBD. I used ocfs2 as file system, also I used NFS4 to access to the ocfs2 drive. I do not have any idea, but the allocated descriptors in /proc/sys/fs/file-nr increasing every time while drive accessed. So after some time allocated descriptions over

NFS options on kernel parameters
Hello, I am running an NFS server/PXE on a Cent OS 5.1 server. I have defined an NFS export with "no_root_squash" option in my /etc/exports file: # # NFS Export Files # /export/images *(rw,sync,no_root_squash) ... A client PXE boots as a diskless station to the above server into a root-NFS directory underneath the above /export/images export. When the client boots;

nfsv4 and kerberos - fails to mount
I have been trying all sorts of things to get this working. nfsv4 works fine if I just use the nfs-v3 form of export i.e. /nfs4exports 192.168.230.237/24(ro,fsid=0,sync,insecure,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,squash_uids=0-99) /nfs4exports/NDG 192.168.230.237/24(rw,insecure,no_subtree_check,nohide,sync,no_root_squash,squash_uids=0-99) but this is inherently open to all on this machine. so then

Fedora and CentOS no longer on speaking terms
I have just upgraded my server from CentOS 5 to CentOS 6 and am having connectivity problems. My laptop runs Fedora 14, and I have been in the habit of mounting data partitions on my server by fstab entries. Since the update I've not been able to do that. On watching the messages during a reboot I saw a statement that the connection was denied by the server (where are those messages

NFSv4 on CentOS 4.5
