XCP vs Xen on CentOS and Dell OpenManage
Hello,
I just tried out XCP and I was surprised to see it looks pretty much
like Xen from Citrix. Based on the RPM packages installed, I assume
XCP is based on RHEL5.
With that in mind, I have a few questions that I did not find an
answer on the web... Perhaps I didn''t look in the right places, so if
you know about any good documentations that I should read please share
it :)

Dell OpenManage installation on CentOS4
I have a Dell 1950 box on evaluation with 2 SATA drives connected to the
on board Dell PERC 5/i with the disks set up as a mirror
I've installed CentOS4.4 (x86_64) on the system and now I'm trying to
install/configure/use the Dell OpenManage tools that came on a CD with
the system.
I've installed the tools using the provided install script and they
appeared to install OK.

Dell openmanage srvadmin on 5.6
Hi all,
I'm just trying to get Dell openmanage to run on my Centos 5.6
box. The monitoring
stuff appears to have installed but the web server stuff is
complaining it needs openwsman
2.2.3 or later and I can only find that for RHEL/Centos 6, not 5.
Can anyone point me at a suitable rpm, or do I have to resort to
compiling it? Surely I'm not
the only one trying to do this.

Dell OpenManage
Hi Everyone,
I have a Xen host (Xen 3.4.2) which is running CentOS 5.5 Dom0. I wish to install Dell OpenManage to get a nice web interface with hardware status.
Do I need to do anything special to get this working on a Xen host? Or does it work out of the box? The reason why I''m asking, instead of trying, is that my server is currently on its way to a colo, and I won''t have

Problem making usbhid-ups working on Centos 5.7
Hello,
I've compiled and installed nut-2.7.2 on a Xen server (Actually XCP
1.6/Centos 5.7) to manage a Dell UPS 2700W.
Here is my ups.conf :
[SU27003U-08]
driver = usbhid-ups
port = auto
desc = "SU27003U-08"
52-nut-usbups.rules have well been installed in /lib/udev/rules.d/. I've put
it in /etc/udev/rules.d/ too.
I've rebooted the machine.

CentOS 4.0 compatible with Dell's OpenManage?
Hi,
I'm looking into purchasing a few Dell Servers and installing it with
CentOS 4.1. It comes with this software called the the Dell OpenManage
Software Kit for PowerEdge that allows for remote monitoring of the servers.
Has anyone out there successfully installed the OpenManage s/ware? Is it
compatible with CentOS 4.1?
Any opinions / feedback is welcome.
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Andrew

Systemd and systemd-sysv-generator
Hello CentOS List,
I have a server that has SysV script supplied by a hardware manufacturer,
which is not functioning properly. From my reading, systemd-sysv-generator
should handle them (like it did for Dell OpenManage software which supplied
SysV init scripts).
/usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/systemd-sysv-generator
Takes no or 3 arguments (it tells me), but I didn't find clear

df does not show full volume capacity after update to 3.12.4
Nithya,
Responding to an earlier question: Before the upgrade, we were at 3.103 on these servers, but some of the clients were 3.7.6. From below, does this mean that ?shared-brick-count? needs to be set to 1 for all bricks.
All of the bricks are on separate xfs partitions composed hardware of RAID 6 volumes. LVM is not used. The current setting for cluster.min-free-inodes was 5%. I changed it to

Nithya,
I will be out of the office for ~10 days starting tomorrow. Is there any way we could possibly resolve it today?
Thanks,

The values for shared-brick-count are still the same. I did not re-start the volume after setting the cluster.min-free-inodes to 6%. Do I need to restart it?
Thanks,

df does not show full volume capacity after update to 3.12.4
Amar,
Thanks for your prompt reply. No, I do not plan to fix the code and re-compile. I was hoping it could be fixed with setting the shared-brick-count or some other option. Since this is a production system, we will wait until a fix is in a release.
Thanks,

df does not show full volume capacity after update to 3.12.4
Hi Freer,
Our analysis is that this issue is caused by
https://review.gluster.org/17618. Specifically, in
'gd_set_shared_brick_count()' from
https://review.gluster.org/#/c/17618/9/xlators/mgmt/glusterd/src/glusterd-utils.c
.
But even if we fix it today, I don't think we have a release planned
immediately for shipping this. Are you planning to fix the code and
re-compile?

df does not show full volume capacity after update to 3.12.4
Hi,
I think we have a workaround for until we have a fix in the code. The
following worked on my system.
Copy the attached file to */usr/lib*/glusterfs/**3.12.4**/filter/*. (You
might need to create the *filter* directory in this path.)
Make sure the file has execute permissions. On my system:
[root at rhgsserver1 fuse2]# cd /usr/lib/glusterfs/3.12.5/
[root at rhgsserver1 3.12.5]# l
total 4.0K

Hi Eva,
I'm sorry but I need to get in touch with another developer to check about
the changes here and he will be available only tomorrow. Is there someone
else I could work with while you are away?

Dell OpenManage,Server Update Utility
Hi,
Has anyone used this with CentOS 4 recently ? If so is it still a case
of needing to munge /etc/redhat-release and then everything works ?
