kriging shapefiles
Hi! Im new to R and I need to interpolate a shapefile using kriging. I've been able to plot/read the shapefile using the package maptools or rgdal. I've searched the internet for sample codes but most of the kriging codes that I've found done in R is done using txtfiles or CSVs.  An example could be of great help. Thanks. mergeing a large number of large .csvs
Dear R help; I'm currently trying to combine a large number (about 30 x 30) of large .csvs together (each at least 10000 records). They are organized by plots, hence 30 X 30, with each group of csvs in a folder which corresponds to the plot. The unmerged csvs all have the same number of columns (5). The fifth column has a different name for each csv. The number of rows is different. The

Cross validation for Ordinary Kriging
ear ALL, The last part of my thesis analysis is the cross validation. Right now I am having difficulty using the cross validation of gstat. Below are my commands with the tsport_ace as the variable: nfold <- 3 part <- sample(1:nfold, 69, replace = TRUE) sel <- (part != 1) m.model <- x2[sel, ] m.valid <- x2[-sel, ] t<- fit.variogram(v,vgm(0.0437, "Exp", 26, 0)) cv69

Partitioning a large data frame and writing output CSVs
Hello, I have a large dataset [536436,4] I'd like to partition the dataset into 999 groups of 564 rows and output each group as a CSV files... Obviously I could do this longhand but I know it is somehow possible to write a loop to do the same thing... I'd like to group such that the first group is the first 564 rows, the second group is the second 564 rows ..... the 999th group is the

Plotting a kriging on a map
Hi list, Well, this time I’ve a doubt with mapping generation. I was already able to read and plot shapefiles, plot point on this map. All this without any problems, but now I want to do something that I think, only Golden Software Surfer is capable of. I would like to plot a kriging result on the existing map (map script below). Well I looked for on the net, but I was not able to be sure of

Leer archivos con read.csv
Hola.

ESRI Shapefile for EU-25
Hi all, who knows how to get an ESRI Shapefile for the NUTS-2 Regions of the enlarged European Union? Particularly I want to draw maps of Germany, Poland, Czech Republik, Hungary and Austria. I've found Shapefiles for the US, Russia and other countries elsewhere in the web, but for Europe it seems really difficult. With many thanks for any hint Albrecht

Exceptional slowness with read.csv
data.table's fread is also fast. Not sure about error handling. But I can merge 300 csvs with a total of 0.5m lines and 50 columns in a couple of minutes versus a lifetime with read.csv or readr::read_csv On Mon, 8 Apr 2024, 16:19 Stevie Pederson, <stephen.pederson.au at gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Dave, > > That's rather frustrating. Re: using shapefile as owin
My sincerest apologies, as this is a very elementary problem, but I have searched through archives and FAQs and on the web, and I am at the end of my own resources. I need to do analysis of a spatial point process occuring with four counties, using spatstat. I've had no trouble importing the shapefiles, but I can't seem to figure out what I need to do in order to use the boundary as an

Print All Warnings that Occurr in All Parallel Nodes
Dear R Users, I have developed the following code for importing a series of zipped CSV by parallel computing. My problems are that: A) Some ZIP Files (Which contain CSVs inside) are corrupted, and cannot be opened. B) After executing parRapply I can only see the last.warning variable error, for knowing which CSV have failed in each node, but I cannot see all warnings, only 1 at a time. So: *
