plotting a subset of a time series
Dear R People: I have the following time series and plot: > x <- ts(rnorm(50),start=2005,freq=12) > plot(x) > which works fine. I would like to plot a subset of that time series, which I did with: > plot(window(x,2005,2006.83)) Is there a better way to do this, please? ls() and classes
Dear R People: I want to get the class of all of the objects in my directory. I was trying: do.call(class,list=ls()) but got an "unused argument error". I'm sure it's simple, but I'm just not seeing it. Any help would be much appreciated. goofy class question
Dear R People: Here is a really goofy question. I have some objects which have 2 classes: data.frame and ucr. Also, the classes will always be in that order. I have tried all sorts of things, but to no avail. listucrModels <- function(envir=.GlobalEnv, ...) { objects <- ls(envir=envir, ...) if (length(objects) == 0) NULL else objects[sapply(objects, function(.x)

Building R from source with the PGI compiler
Hello I would like to build R from source and use the PGI compiler, rather than the GCC compiler. I saw the instructions for the Intel compiler in the R Installation Manual, but I didn't see the PGI. I tried a few times without instructions, but without success. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Also, I hope this is the right group for the question. Sincerely, Erin -- Erin
