R-2.0: roadmap? release statements? plans?
Hi all,
I took a look at last 2 months post in R-help maillist
and surfed through the R-project.org . Unfortunately,
I can't find some page with roadmap/statements about
major changes coming in R-2.0 in comparison to R-1.9
Could anyone point me to the right URL?
Thank you in advance.

Plans to migrate to python3
Are there plans to migrate the samba python code to python3? If so, is
there a roadmap? If not, why not?

v2.1.beta1 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/2.1/beta/dovecot-2.1.beta1.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/2.1/beta/dovecot-2.1.beta1.tar.gz.sig
Here's the first beta release of Dovecot v2.1. This version has already
been tested quite a lot, so I'm not expecting any major bugs. So please
upgrade and see if you can find any problems. I'm optimistic about
getting rc1 released this year and perhaps even

MySQL, map files
I'll try and break up my questions the other day about extdata that went unanswered into pieces in the hopes it will be more specific and clear.
In general, I am trying to figure out the syntax of the map statement and what is allowed in that statement. So, by map statement, I mean for example perhaps the?dovecot-dict-expire.conf.ext file as shown in the doc. Is the syntax the same for the

Filesystem quotas
I am wondering if I really need to use dovecot quota functions or not. Assume for the moment, that, each system user has a quota defined using Linux quotas, and that the Maildir is within their quota limited directory. So, any mail (or files created by the user etc) that would exceed the quota obviously can't be created.?
In such an environment, is there any advantage to implementing the same

Openoffice.org Gimp
Just wondering, what's the roadmap for OO to be upgraded.
I have version 2.0.4 and official is already in 2.3.x and suppose
in march there's going to be 2.4 version.
As well as Gimp, we using 2.2 and there is 2.4.x
Anyone heard upstream roadmap for upgrading?

http://dovecot.org/releases/2.1/rc/dovecot-2.1.rc6.tar.gz.sig
I've finally finished all of my email backlog. If you haven't received an answer to some question/bugreport, resend the mail.
This is hopefully the last v2.1 RC. If I don't receive any (serious) bug reports about this release in next few days, I'll just change

http://dovecot.org/releases/2.1/alpha/dovecot-2.1.alpha1.tar.gz.sig
So it's time for the first alpha version of Dovecot v2.1. There are no
huge intrusive changes, so I expect v2.1.0 to be released this year
(maybe even in a few months?)
The biggest changes are related to full text search handling. I'll

Dovecot 2, Imap service, client_limit
I see back in November of last year, a thread about using client_limit in the
imap service (not imap-login) that would allow each imap process serve more than
one connection. Sounded good, until I tried it!
When I did, unlike the OP of that thread, I got:
dovecot: imap(submit.user): Fatal: setuid(503(submit.user) from userdb lookup)
failed with euid=501(links): Operation not permitted (This

Inspiring Web 2.0 Rails Sites?
Anybody know of any Rails-using web sites that really capture the
essence of the nebulous Web 2.Oh from which ideas, instruction, and
inspiration can be drawn?
BTW, what exactly IS Web 2.0?

Upgrading 1.2.17 -> 2.1.x
We're planning to upgrade our site from 1.2.17 to 2.1.x within the
next few months, but we must ensure our ability to revert to 1.2.17
if problems arise.
I don't expect our maildir storage would present a problem,
but am less certain about 2.1.x index/control files remaining
readable under 1.2.17.
Should I have any reason to worry?

Problem creating new DC's
Hi there,
I currently have 6 Samba4 (4.1.5) DC's spread over a global network. This
is working ok but they were created before any Sites were made and as the
ability to move DC's to new Sites is not working, I am attempting to create
new DC's in each location and then demote the old ones.
The problem I am facing is the domain join process keeps timing out for any
new DC. I think this

Hi gents,
I have a problem with winbindd uid/gid numbering on my Samba4 domain member

This is my smb.conf:
