about: memory allocation and the balloon list
Dear all
I use the command( xm mem-set ID mem ) trying to understand the memory allocation between the Dom0 and the Guests(vm),
but there is still some confusion about this.
As the above /proc/xen/balloon list
I set xm mem-set Domain-0 128
and changing the vm memory from 256 to 128: xm mem-set vm01 128 (...from vm01 to vm08)
before mem-setCurrent allocation: 427792 kB

"auth_cache_verify_password_with_worker = yes" does not work with proxy
Hello,
i use a proxy only configuration with version 2.2.22 (Ubuntu 16.04) and have now transferred it to version 2.3.10. This works as before.
But as soon as i use "auth_cache_verify_password_with_worker = yes", it does not work anymore.
The first login still works, but from the second one, where the answer comes from the cache, there is an error. The login is still accepted but

error creating Centos 5.1 x32 dum_U instance on CentOS 5.1 x64
Hi all
This is the first time I try and get Xen working, and want to install a
few CentOS 5.1 32bit and FreeBSD 6.1 VM's on my CentOS 5.1 x64 server.
Trying to get the first one to install is rather trivial, and I keep on
running into errors. At fist I wanted to install it fro the cdrom, so I
used "virt-install --cdrom=/dev/hdc" It booted up, and I could choose my
language, but

Why the data got from "top" and "xentop" are different?
Hi All,
I''m a beginner in Xen. Recently I''ve configured one VM (vm03) hosted in my
physical machine. I ran the "netperf" workload in the vm01, and used the
"top" command in the vm03 to test the behavior of the running workload.
Meanwhile, I also used the "xentop" command in domain0 to see the resource
consumption in vm03. Interestingly, I found that

dovecot, fts, solr5 patch, fuzzy search
Hi!
I have a patch and several thoughts about FTS in dovecot.
I. SOLR v5.1 and above doesn't allow GET /select queries with
Content-Type header set, so, I just removed it from the code:

error creating Centos 5.1 x32 dum_U instance on CentOS5.1x64
Well, take it over to CentOS-virt, attach the config of the guest and I'm sure someone will spot the problem.

Problems with smbldap-tools, passdb backend, smb.conf
Hello,
my passdb backend in the smb.conf m does make troubles.
The entry is: passdb backend=ldapsam:ldap://127.0.0.1.
I seems to be right?
My system is:
Suse 9.2 with openldap 2.2.25-5.2 and samba 3.0.7-5.1
Suse 9.2 clients and Win xp Clients.
If I take the passdb backend entry out of the smb.conf, loggons of the xp
clients are working for me. If the entry is inside, loggons failed. The Suse

error creating Centos 5.1 x32 dum_U instance on CentOS5.1 x64
Nah, RHEL 5.1+ supports 32-bit domU (PAE and non PAE) on 64-bit dom0.
Actually RHEL Xen is 3.1 with the brain damaged 3.0 userland utilities.

Exim and Dovecot2 SASL: 435 Unable to authenticate at present
Hi. I had working Exim 4.71 and Dovecot 1.2.9 SASL configuration on
Ubuntu Lucid, but needed some features from dovecot2, so I installed
2.0.13 from
https://launchpad.net/~carsten-uppenbrink-net/+archive/dovecot2 . Now I
get Subj error while trying to authenticate via dovecot auth-client
socket. However IMAP auth works fine with 2.0.13 and smtp auth worked
fine until upgrade, so I think

Using userdb/passdb data in director_username_hash
TL;DR:
Can director_username_hash use %{userdb:...} or %{passdb:...} ?
====================================
This is on Ubuntu Precise, running dovecot 2.2.36. It's a fully production,
director-ized env, so assume everything is working correctly. Happy to post
doveconf if it's relevant but wanted to ask a general question first.
I was curious if there's a way to get userdb/passdb

deliver fails - passdb doesn't support lookups?
Hello,
I'm trying to get `deliver` (the LDA) to function properly. I can get
it to work without doing a user lookup, but for my own sense of
sanity, I want to know what I'm doing wrong getting user lookups
working. (I'm using dovecot 1.0.10).
Here's what I have in the "auth default" section:

Global fields for passwd-file database
Is there a way to specify global fields for passwd-file DB? Currently
interested in "home" for userdb and "allow_nets" for passworddb.
The next doesn't work, of course:
passdb passwd-file {
args = username_format=%n allow_nets=127.0.0.1
/etc/dovecot/dovecot.passwd.%d
}
userdb passwd-file {
args = username_format=%n home=/var/mail/%d/%n
