Gosubs broken since r160626 (1.6.0 SVN) ?
Hi all,
I've just upgraded to latest 1.6.0 SVN from a few days ago and my Gosubs

dovecot 1.1.beta3 crashes on NetBSD/sparc64 4.0_RC3 with Thunderbird 2.0.0.6
Hi all,
I'm getting core dumps from Dovecot when using Thunderbird as a client.
Everything is fine when using the Apple Mail client. I've appended the
debug dumps to this message so they are out of the way, but they should
be read now.
I think the problem might be that io->prev and io->next aren't reliably
initialised in ioloop.c:io_add. The value that io->prev has when

Is the Doveadm HTTP API considered stable for production use?
Hi,
I'm running 2.2.34 in production (installed from Debian stretch
backports) and want to rework some scripts. Can the HTTP API be
considered stable in 2.2.34 please? The wiki says it is "considered
experimental in v2.2.22" so I thought I'd check before writing API calls
rather than a wrapper around doveadm!

Is the Doveadm HTTP API considered stable for production use?
If you don?t want to use the HTTP API, you can use the raw doveadm protocol.

Thanks, I didn't know about that. I suppose testing the HTTP API and
then switching to the raw doveadm protocol over TCP if it turns out
"crashy" wouldn't mean

first entanglements with custom drop-shadows
Hi there again!
I wanted to give a brief glimpse of the look of the new/customizable

currently follow the brute-force approach. 9 elements for the shadow...

For the middle shadow-part there is a 2D-vector as parameter to allow

notes 6, bug 2484, winedebug techniques?
Hi all,
I'm attempting to run notes 6. I've tried some techniques from Mike
Hearn text. However, I lack knowledge.
Description of problem itself is at
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2484
After adding trace+ntdll to WINEDEBUG, I get NtWriteFile(0xc,...) in
output both before "LookupHandle: null handle" occuring and in line with
it too. As far as I can tell (I could

Samba and Linux Newbie Help
I have Linux-Mandrake 7.2 on my work PC but I live in an NT network
environment. I can log on to the network, get my email from the Exchange
Server and to the internet ok, but can't get to Network Neighborhood or print
to networked printers.
Is Samba what I need, and if so, what exactly? Server? Client? I have
searched, but the documentation is a vague when it comes to "my

Adding something like this would certainly be possible, but I'm not sure
it's really appropriate. The problem is that 'long' varies in

Having trouble starting more than 8 Xen guests
All,
I've spent quite a few hours trying to figure this out to no avail... I
have two machines and the result is the same on both. Additionally,
each machine does not support full hardware virtualization...
I am able to create 8 VMs. When attempting to create ninth VM, I get the following
error:

LDAP server listening on UDP for resource location
Hi,
If I understand the MS documentation right a Windows desktop uses DNS (or
WINS) to determine a DC and then connects to the ldap udp port 389 to get
further details about the DC. I do not want to run a full DC but only a
"simple" Heimdal or MIT kdc for Browser Negotiate authentication. Does
Samba include such a standalone ldap service which just returns the only

(5.6) Kernel Link Error
Installing VirtualBox-4.1* on Centos 5.6 X64, I get at the end:-

In /lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/ I find two broken links:-

source -> ditto
The reason why they are broken appears to be the
