Multipath routing
Hello!
I have trouble with multipath routing. Those options are enabled in kernel:
[*] IP: policy routing
[*] IP: equal cost multipath
[*] IP: equal cost multipath with caching support (EXPERIMENTAL)
<*> MULTIPATH: round robin algorithm
But issuing:
ip r a 1.2.3.0/23 scope global equalize nexthop via 80.245.176.11 \
dev eth0 weight 1 nexthop via 80.245.176.13 dev eth0

Isolating a subnet on demand
I'm still confused, but in any case, there's nothing stopping "miou"
from impersonating "apeliote"'s subnets in your case, unless you use
StrictSubnets.
Here's the easiest way to do the spoofing:
In miou's own node file (on the miou machine itself), add apeliote's
subnets with a Weight smaller than 10 (which is the default), so that
it overrides them.

Port based VLAN Switch + tc + routing troube
Hello,
I have a little strange config. I will try to explain it as short as
possible.
I have ethernet switch, which is Port Based VLAN enabled.
For example: this switch have 3 ports.
Port 1 is VLAN 1 only.
Port 2 is VLAN 2 only.
Port 3 is VLAN 1 and 2.
This means that if packet come from Port 1 it will be sent ONLY to port 3.
If packet come from Port 2 it again will be sent to Port 3 only.

Hello -
I am using kernel 2.4.27 and running into behavior I don''t know how to

I have 2 relevant interfaces. eth0 is external, eth1 is internal. My
internal LAN is 10.10.10.0/24. My External range is 1.2.3.0/27 (dummied

Howto route through
Hello list,
I''m having a little trouble imagining a setup I''ll soon have.
I am in the process of getting a routed /28 to my homeLAN. What I want
to do is to put a linux box in front of the lan to filter some of the
unneeded and potential dangerous ports. Now the box has 2 nics, one for
the inside one for the outside.
How should I go on to setup those NICs when

routing bug?
Hi,
Exactly I don?t know if this is a bug or not. I have a LAN with one switch
and one hub.
Yesterday I was in vpn with a customer (vpn tunnel 1.2.3.0 subnet 255.255.0.0)
when a colleague has attached his notebook that was set with the network
1.2.4.0. I suppose that his notebook has sent a lot of broadcast messages
on the network, infact my vpn connection was broken quite immediately!
When he

IAX authentication oddity - Known issue? Fixed?
Hi,
I had the following odd behaviour in Asterisk 1.2 - We are migrating
to 1.6, and I will re-test ASAP, though it is quite hard to replicate,
but I am curious to know whether it is a known IAX issue in 1.2.
We had 2 users in iax.conf:
[user1]
username=user1
secret=secret1
context=context1
host=iax.hostname.com
[user2]
username=user2
secret=
context=context2
host=dynamic
deny=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0

Can't find rails after re-installing/upgrading Kubuntu
Hello Railers (?),
I have just re-installed my machine with the lattest Kubuntu, which brings with Rails 1.2.4 instead of 1.2.3. Now my Rail project doesn''t start anymore. At first I''ve got this message:
Cannot find gem for Rails ~>1.2.3.0:
Install the missing gem with ''gem install -v=1.2.3 rails'', or

[Bug 616] Duplicate rules for multi-homed hostnames. IPv4 and IPv6 inconsistent treatment.

Yes, I fully understand what is happening in the one specific example you have
provided. However you need to answer what happens if Cloudmark suddenly
decides to add an IP _OUTSIDE_ of that /22 that is assigned to them. Let's say
they open a new

This is my test case, what am I doing wrong? It seems that the API is used

It looks like you're trying to add the second IP on an aliased
interface, something that you used to have to do in older releases of
CentOS.
In C7, you just add

Samba 3, Ubuntu 10, NAT, and firewall rules
I'm setting up a Samba 3 server on Ubuntu 10. The server
will have five local shares, which it will provide to the local
network (let's call that network 1.2.3.0/24). The samba server is
a slave to the local Windows AD domain -- that is, the samba server
does not do its own authentication but just passes along such requests
to one of several local domain controllers that actually deal
