How to call DBLEPR in Fortran code to be used by R
Hi
I've built a dll using Fortran code and can call it by either R or
Fortran. Calling by the former gives me the wrong answer and the later
gives the correct answer. From what I've read, it looks like I should use
the subroutines DBLEPR, INTPR and REALPR to get values to show up in R
which I hope will allow me to find the error. I've downloaded the
R-2.12.0.tar.gz but have

Problems with 64bit dll compile in R-2.15.0
I built my package under the R version 2.14.1 on windows without any
problems by first checking for issues using R CMD check (no warnings) and
then R CMD build to build the tar.gz. I can install this on version
2.14.1 using install.packages(...). I next tested to see if I could also
install on version 2.15.0 (also on my computer) using install.packages()
with the version 2.14.1 tar.gz this

[PATCH] use pkg-config to look up ncurses
Hardcoding -ltinfo breaks on distros that do not build the sep library
(which is the default ncurses behavior). Use pkg-config to look up the
right libraries regardless of how the distro built things.

No announcement for kernel 3.10.0-1062.12.1.el7
Hi
I don't know where the announcements go.
I cloned https://git.centos.org/git/rpms/kernel.git and grabbed the changelog section pasted below from the git diff in SPECS/kernel.spec (commit dated 4 Feb 2020)

[LLVMdev] Shared Libraries (dlls) using MinGW
So I've been looking around for people who have built shared libraries on
windows and have run in to a bit of a stumbling block. I'm able to compile
without the BUILD_SHARED_LIBS flag but if I put turn the flag on as follows:
cmake -G "MinGW Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Release
-DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS:BOOL=ON ../llvm-2.7
Then call:
mingw32-make
I get:

[PATCH] Use -ltinfo instead of -lncurses.
In tools except guestfish, we don't use ncurses, or even curses, just
2 termcap functions and a global variable. These are provided by
libtinfo, so just link to that.
In guestfish we use readline which needs ncurses. Leave that alone.

[LLVMdev] Building clang with mingw/msys/gcc 4.4
I managed to build clang on mingw/msys today.
Running configure, make install worked for both debug and optimized builds
in general. However there were a few hitches along the way. Make would fail
with:
ln: creating symbolic link
`/d/super/dump/code/llvm/llvm-project/llvm/build.clang/Release+Asserts/bin/clang++.exe'
to `clang.exe': No such file or directory

[LLVMdev] Kaleidoscope Build Error
(cc'ing llvm-dev)
Hello Gregory,
i just recompiled llvm from scratch, and was able to build the ocaml
kaleidoscope bindings. Did you know the llvm's build system already
can compile the kaleidoscope tutorials for you? You can run this to
build them:
make BUILD_EXAMPLES=1
Or just cd into the examples directory in your build directory, and
run "make" there.
Anyway, I think the

[LLVMdev] Color diagnostics
Hi Hans,
I used the official Ubuntu binary:
http://llvm.org/releases/3.6.0/clang+llvm-3.6.0-x86_64-linux-gnu-ubuntu-14.04.tar.xz
Seems to me that it should be an optional dependency. If the target system
has tinfo or ncurses, it should use it, otherwise fallback to no color.

No announcement for kernel 3.10.0-1062.12.1.el7

yum update:
kernel 3.10.0-1062.12.1.el7
kernel-devel 3.10.0-1062.12.1.el7
However I am not able to find any announcement at redhat.com for this
kernel. The only announcement I find is this from CentOS:
https://www.mail-archive.com/centos-announce at centos.org/msg11573.html
However that CentOS announcement links to
