Failure compiling 1.0.19 on OSX 10.5.8
I've having trouble downloading and compiling Xapian 1.0.19 on OSX 10.5.8. Does the below error look at all familiar to anyone? creating bin/quartzcheck g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I./common -I./include -I./backends/quartz -Wall -W -Wredundant-decls -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-qual -Wcast-align -Wno-long-long -Wformat-security -fno-gnu-keywords -Woverloaded-virtual -Wundef -Wshadow

tinc on a raspberry pi - version 1.0.19 will not work
Hello Guus, thank you for your fast reply. Indeed the upgrade to a newer Raspbian image did solve my problem with tinc, I was not aware that there was a new Jessie based version. The current Jessie based Raspbian has tinc 1.0.24 version included, which runs fine, so I did not run tinc with debug messages enabled, since the issue that had caused my tinc crashes in 1.0.19 had probably been fixed.

This is what is happening to lsusb, too (tries to fetch 549 bytes, gets only 9). and is there anything I can do to fix, short of hoping to receive an updated unbroken firmware for the UPS from a support

"Unauthorized request" messages after tinc update
Hello, I have three clients that connect to one server. The server runs tinc 1.0.11 and one client runs tinc 1.0.19. I recently upgraded the two other clients from tinc 1.0.11 to tinc 1.0.16. Since the upgrade, the server now regularly logs messages of the form Aug 26 12:17:42 ebox tinc.rath[4049]: Unauthorized request from hspc (87.173.111.136 port 42836) or Aug 25 18:39:12 ebox

send_meta() called with NULL pointer!
Hi, I am running tinc (1.0.19) on a cluster of around 40 servers (Xen virtual machines in two geographical locations). Overall it works very well, however yesterday it crashed on two machines in odd way. I was still able to ping VPN IPs of other hosts from the two affected machines but "vpn" interface was not visible when I run ifconfig. There was also no "tincd" process

Bug: more than one Port line in host file crashes tincd
I found a tincd crash caused by having two "Port" statements in a host's file. I realize this is a bug in an old version of tinc that may be fixed but I spent the past few hours tracking it down so I'm sharing it in hopes others can make use of this info. I was "cleaning" up my Tinc VPN of a collection of OpenWrt routers and tincd started crashing with "Got fatal

upgraded 1.0.19 to 1.2.0 - indexing seems to be getting stuck
Today I upgraded to 1.2.0 - and my indexing jobs are now getting hung up. They appear to be waiting on a futex. Not everyone, but every now and then. I'll try to get some diagnostics. /Per Jessen, Z?rich

PriorityInheritance doesn't work (tinc 1.0.19)
Hello! I'd like to use PriorityInheritance option, despite it is still experimental. (Why it could be experimental, when it looks quite simple feature, no?) But this option doesn't change the TOS field of outgoing UDP packet. I just do tcpdump on outgoing interface from vty1: $ sudo tcpdump -vni eth0 udp dst port 655 And from vty2 I do ping with setting of tos field to EF(0xb8). $

Unauthorized ADD_SUBNET, but known subnet
Hi all, I'm using a tinc 1.0.19 (from Debian Squeeze) setup with some nodes connecting to a "server" node which has "StrictSubnets = yes". Whenever a new node is added to the mesh, a process generates and drops its host file in the server's host directory before the node is booted and tries to connect. For instance, I create a node "node_2" and a host file
