I still can't get xapian core to build on windows so I guess it is kind of moot to begin with. Just wondering.

I just get the latest version of Xapian 1.2.2 and see that the Java bindings still aren't in a package. Do these work? I am trying to hack them into a package but I can't find where the actual swig -java command is being executed from to add the -package command. Here is the output I get from nmake. I am not a guru at getting C programs to build under windows, I never had any troubles I could not solve on OSX :-( I am using the released sources, I have Visual Studio 2005, I have the make files from lemur.
