Compilation failure using mingw-w64 and gcc-5.3.0
Hello, Upon compiling the flac tree today, after many successful compilations over the last few weeks, a new error is appearing before compilation bails out. This is a cross-compilation using gcc-5.3.0 running on GNU/Linux, with the objects being built for a mingw-w64-x86_64 host. Among other things, the compiler is looking for windows_unicode_filenames.h but it isn't there. Also, I'm

Trouble installing xapian on windows
Hello, i am trying to install xapian on windows. As the xapian download page says, there are two options here: 1) mingw 2) a separate set of makefiles for MSVC. If i understand correctly, MSVC is supported only by xapian 1.2.8 and older, so i decided to try mingw. The configure script worked perfectly, but "make" finished with a error (see the output below). So far i have two

[PATCH] Fix compiler warnings that prevent compilation
Counteract incorrect use of the "deprecated" attribute in ffmpeg headers. In particular, struct AVPaletteControl is deprecated, but it's used in a non-deprecated struct AVCodecContext (as found in Fedora's ffmpeg-devel-0.4.9-0.8.20070530.fc7.x86_64). Define attribute_deprecated to an empty string until broken version of ffmpeg are too obsolete to support. Use appropriate

libc_nonshared.a missing on 10.0-RC1
Hi all! Yesterday I upgraded to FreeBSD 10.0-RC1 through freebsd-update. Everything seemed fine until I decided to upgrade my ports today. There was a new version of pkg which built fine up until the linking: ===> Building for pkg-1.2.3 --- all --- ===> libpkg (all) --- objwarn --- --- libpkg.so.1 --- --- objwarn --- Warning: Object directory not changed from original

Compilation failure using mingw-w64 and gcc-5.3.0
Thank you for the feedback. This is cross-compiling for mingw-w64-x86_64 using gcc-5.3.0 and mingw-w64-4.0.4 on GNU/Linux. Upon attempting to compile now, a large number of errors occur in flac/decode.c which I have placed at the end of this email. They are eased by adding this to decode.c: #if _WIN32 #include <windows.h> #include <shlobj.h> #endif ...among the headers. Then, this

[Nut-upsuser] Nut-2.7.3 & gcc-3.3.6
Hi Charles, Yes, it looks like my g++ does contain STL library which might be just my specific case... However, as a temporary solution I disabled nutclient in Makefile (please find the file attached). And nut-2.7.3 can be compiled now. Report by Eric Lindblad 28-08-2015 http://www.ericlindblad.blogspot.com As of Windows 8.1 MS has discontinued enabling for Interix, so perhaps there is little or no interest in this e-mail's subject matter. NB: As far as possible languages for xapian-bindings I only have be able to compile earlier versions of Tcl with a static library on Interix 3.5, Perl versions fail 'make check',

FWIW, configure is already checking to see whether the compiler is gcc or not. There's an if clause in the configure scripts for ogg, vorbis, theora, and other of our packages that uses this to add

question / errors Interix 3.5 / xapian-core-1.2.21 / Eric Lindblad
Question by Eric Lindblad 05-09-2015 http://www.ericlindblad.blogspot.com I would enquire if anyone has an opinion on whether it might be a possibility that adding the following #ifdef in certain xapian-core-1.2.21 /common and/or /backends files following the string #include <sys/types.h> might move closer towards resolution the 'ambiguous overload' issue. +#ifdef __INTERIX +#
