mod_python - apache crash
one of my developers is using a mod_python module called xml.dom.minidom
and its causing the issue as outlined below
http://www.dscpl.com.au/wiki/ModPython/Articles/ExpatCausingApacheCrash
This is on CentOS 4.5 and so Apache 2.0.52-38 - I cant change the OS
version but i could change the apache and or mod_python version.
Does anyone know of any fixes to this apart from rolling my own?
thanks

HP-UX 11 Corrupted MAC errors
Using 3.4p1 under HP-UX 11.0 I am repeatedly getting disconnected with
Corrupted MAC on input. I am connecting from a RedHat Linux client
(at 3.1p1).
The incorrect MAC is appearing on the server packet receive side.
Never get an invalid MAC on the client side. I'm currently diving
into packet.c to try to find this, but the behavior is so strange and
predictable I thought I'd see if

download.fedora.redhat.com down? moved?
Hello all,
I'm trying to install mod_python from the normal channels via RPM,
though it seems that download.fedora.redhat.com is down, or moved?
DNS reports it does not exist.
I've seen multiple references to this domain name including on the site:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/15286937/dir/redhat_el_6/com/mod_python-3.3.1-14.el6.1.x86_64.rpm.html
Please help?
Thank you,

HP-UX slow login problem found?
I think I finally figured out the problem that many people have been
having with extremely long login times under HP-UX 11.x. The problem
is really in OpenSSL, and in particular the Diffie-Hellman parameter
generation routines under the PA-RISC processor. I suspect this may
not be a problem with the IA64 (Itanium) processors. This especially
shows up if you use the gcc compiler. Fortunately I

General question about PHP - continued with mod_python
Oops, I just missed the python part.
Does mod_python have similar options? Or how to stop other users to run
python scripts in some directories?

Trac in mod_python
I''ve set the Trac sites up to use mod_python now (as I should have in
the first place), so you can now get all trac sites at https://
reductivelabs.com/trac/$name, where $name is the project name, e.g.,
puppet. It should be a good bit faster now.
The old locations will work indefinitely, but I''ve changed all (I
hope) of the links to point to this new location.

Python/sqlite date time problems.
Bear with me, this is CentOS related. :)
I have a python CGI that's behaving weirldy on Whitebox systems
that've been switched over to CentOS 4 (ages ago, no other problems to
speak of aside from this one).
I've broken the problem down to a minimal test case...
1. Create a small database

[error] avahi_entry_group_add_service_strlst("AdminNodeFQDN") failed: Invalid host name
Hi,
After doing a clean install of ovirt in a Fedora 11 VM, I am unable to
get anything working in the web interface. All I get is an error 500.
After reviewing the logs I see the following error in

Apache Not Serving, But Is Serving?
Hi;
I installed
yum install mod_python
and all went well. So I thought it would be appropriate to reboot apache
apachectl -k restart
and it appeared well but the pages don't load (they hang). Nevertheless,
# ps wax|grep httpd
12179 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
17698 ? Z 0:00 [httpd] <defunct>
17703 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep httpd
So what gives? Please advise.

ideas on picking stopwords
I'm looking at adding some stopwords to my indexing procedure, and was
wondering if anyone had any good rules of thumb on how to pick which
words to blacklist. It all seems a little... well... vague. Although I
guess it kind of depends on the sort of documents you're wanting to index.
My current idea is to write a little script to output the terms with the
highest frequency in my

flintlock issues
Hi people
I'm running Xapian (1.0.9) and more specifically omega to index a few
different databases.
After the databases are first indexed (by user A), the dirs get
chmod'ed to 0777 to allow user B full access to them.
Even after the indexing is done, the file "flintlock" still exists in
all database dirs. It's owned by user A (perm: -rw-------).
When user B wants

Problems with /bin/cat and flintlock?
Hi Guys,
I'm working on some integration project with Ruby, Rack, Apache, Phusion Passenger and Xapian.
I've been having intermittent issues with the flintlock code - it seems that the function FlintLock::lock is never returning and this is locking up the Ruby process.
My guess is that Xapian is locking up in a system call and Ruby can't schedule its green threads.

flintlock / tcl bindings
Comment by Eric Lindblad 10-09-2015
http://www.nurmi-labs.blogspot.com
I have sent a copy of Eric J.'s 21 Feb. 2016 dated e-mail [Database left unlocked by Tcl bindings]
to a Tcl programmer in the Vancouver area, with whom I have had an exchange of e-mails before. If
I receive a timely response I'll post it to the xapian-discuss list.

LIBCRYPTO?
Hi all,
I have a question about OpenSSH configuration. In Makefile there is defined
LIBS=$(LIBCRYPTO), but the problem is that the version of OpenSSL that I'm
using holds only the version LIBCRYPT. When adding LIBCRYPT to the Makefile
I get:
sshd.elf2flt: In function `key_regeneration_alarm':
/.../ssh/sshd.c:252: undefined reference to `RSA_free'
/.../ssh/sshd.c:253: undefined
