According to <http://xapian.org/docs/scalability.html>, it seems that the quartz database filesize is limited only by the OS and file system. Can you confirm from your experience that there is no 2GB limit?

Hi all, I developed the basic structure of xapian_index() function which enables the content of a data frame to be indexed with Xapian search engine library. I pushed it to a git repository at https://github.com/amandaJayanetti/RXapian.
