Hi, I have the x86_64 arch on my server so therfore i expect that yum updates only x86_64 packages. With the last *yum update* i?ve noticed a strange behaviour while retrieving the needed packeges. As you you see, yum wants install packages for different architectures: glibc x86_64 2.3.4-2.25 base 4.9 M glibc i686 2.3.4-2.25 base 5.1 M . .

i'm reading the lowdown on 3rd party repos with respect to centos here: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories and i have a couple questions and observations. first, the entry for centosplus reads: "Popular packages from this repository include: postfix with database support, a rebuilt kernel with additional drivers & filesystem support, php5 and mysql5."

Where can I get the src.rpm for the postfix and dovecot package and rebuild to add mysql support? The postfix and dovecot package for centos4 does not come with mysql support and I cant find the .src.rpm on the 4 CDs I have for CentOS4. I just installed the updated kernel packages for centos 4.4 from the centosplus repository. When I run vmware-config.pl to rebuild the vmware modules, it warns me that the kernel was compiled with gcc 3.4.6, whereas my compiler is gcc 3.4.5, and recommends that I not rebuild the modules unless I have exactly the same compiler version. Hello, I just noticed that centosplus for c4 provides mysql 5.0.54, while centosplus for c5 does not provide that recent version and so c5 is stuck with mysql 5.0.22. Any particular reason for that or it is just that no one has yet compiled & packaged 5.0.5x for c5? Also, where does 5.0.54 comes from?
