[REGRESSION] xapian-config broken in 0.9.3
Xapian-config is broken in 0.9.3 : it can't find libxapian.la when one runs 'xapian-config --ltlibs'. Hence, omega and xapian-bindings can't be configured anymore (on OS X and Cygwin, at least). I quick-fixed it by setting exec_prefix to my prefix (/usr/local) inside the script, but that is not the right move. I don't know when the regression happened, but r6532 worked fine.

Compiling xapian-bindings-0.9.2 on OpenBSD 3.7
Hello, Compiling xapian-core-0.9.2 worked fine, and make check reported that the tests ran without problems (although it skipped some near the end). Now I'm trying to compile xapian-bindings-0.9.2 on OpenBSD 3.7 but have run into a problem. After hours of searching the net I haven't found a solution. For reference gcc -v gives the following output: Configured with: Thread model: single

Xapian 1.2.0 build fails on libxapian.la target - Solaris 9 (SunOS 5.9) sun4u SPARC
Hi all, I've only pasted the last few lines of where the Xapian build fails below (the entire piece is 6639 lines long). I didn't get any warnings regarding zlib or libuuid from configure, so I'm assuming I have compatible versions. I am using libtool 2.2.6b, GNU ld 2.20.2010303. I know gcc 3.3.2 is a little behind the times, but I see the the documentation the minimum requirement is

debian (1.2.22-3~bpo8+1) package build failure
I'm trying to test a trivial patch to set FD_CLOEXEC on the flintlock lockfd when using F_OFD_SETLK and am running into a build failure even in an unpatched state. This is on a Debian jessie amd64 system building the jessie-backports version. The stable version (1.2.19-1+deb8u1) works and builds fine using the same commands, however I also encountered a similar build problem in a sid chroot
