CentOS 5.8, Adaptec 6405 but lsmod lists dmraid?
Hi I have (actaully on a number of machines) various Adaptec card installed, yet lsmod shows "dmraid" loaded? How come? I thought that dmraid is software raid? Is this part of the booting and if so How do I tell mkinitrd NOT to make it part of the bootup process? Broken upgrade to 5.2
Hello all, I was upgrading a CentOS 5.1 box to 5.2 remotely, and I lost my ssh connection to the server. Now when I rerun the "yum upgrade" it fails due to conflicts in the transaction check stage. Before I dig myself a deeper hole, I think I need advice. The original error I received was a conflict between python-devel and python, so I erased python-devel with the plan to

Centos 5 install on BIOS RAID ie. dmraid M/B
I am experiencing hangs on the Keyboard Lang selection screen in GUI Mode install on a M/B setup with Intel BIOS SATA RAID. Workaround is to use 'linux nodmraid' switch which disables visibility of RAID volumes during drive detection of Disk Druid. Has anyone else tried this config without workarounds and success? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

How do I create a clean build environment?
I get interesting results on this one. If I run rpm -q -a | grep i386 as root, I get this: nspluginwrapper-i386-0.9.91.1-1 If I run as my local non-root user, I get this: libgcc-3.4.6-3.i386 libselinux-1.19.1-7.2.i386 libstdc++-3.4.6-3.i386 krb5-libs-1.3.4-33.i386 dbus-glib-0.22-12.EL.7.i386 flash-plugin-9.0.31.0-release.i386 libart_lgpl-2.3.16-3.i386
