Shared folder not listing
Hi Timo, I've got a weird problem on our dovecot. We're trying to setup private shared folder access. I have 2 users. tom at mailbox.com and system at mailbox.com. I have set the ACL's on all the folders (and subfolders) on system at mailbox.com. However, I'm not getting any of them listed when I check tom at mailbox.com <mailto:tom at mailbox.com's> 's IMAP

Dovecot + vpopmail + shared folders
I'm using dovecot 1.2.14 with vpopmail. I've enabled shared folders and the default setup was not working. The default setup being this line: location = maildir:%%h/Maildir:INDEX=~/Maildir/shared/%%u Going through the Archives I saw a message from Timo that said to apply a patch and use this line instead: location =

Sieve problem: No vacation message when mail is addressed to an alias of the mailbox.
Hi, I?m facing here a wierd problem: We have a vacation messaging system using sieve. When activated the system forwards incomming messages to a given address and sents an out of office reply to the sender. This works like a charm when the mail is addressed to mailbox at domain. When the incomming mail ist addressed to alias.to.mailbox at domain the mail is delivered to the mailbox, it is

shared folder files not displaying in thunderbird
Hello, I have dovecot installed with the configuration below. One of the subfolders created (using the email client) under the '/home/vpopmail/domains/mydomain.com/shared/projects' share no longer (it used to) displays the files located in it. There are about 150 folders under the '/home/vpopmail/domains/mydomain.com/shared/projects' share all of which display the files located in

shared/public mailbox doesn't exist
I have 3 servers running dovecot 1.0.10. 2 of them are configured with a shared/public namespace, but I'm having trouble getting it to work on the third, even with 2 working examples to go by. There's something I'm missing, and I'm hoping that someone here can see/tell what it is. I've created the maildir for sharing: # cd /home/vpopmail/domains/mydomain.com # maildirmake

Possible bug in shared namespace variable?
As you would have seen earlier I've created a shared mailbox with the following namespace: namespace { type = shared separator = . prefix = Shared.%%n. location = maildir:/var/vpopmail/domains/%%d/%%n/Maildir:INDEX=~/Maildir/Shared/%%n subscriptions = no list = children } This works perfectly, but for some reason the %%n variable in the location maildir is blank. Everywhere else

Shared Mailboxes in a multi domain environment
Hi, I would like to enable mailbox sharing for my users. I'm using dovecot 2.1.9 with vpopmail authentication. For security reason shared mailboxes should be available only for users of the same domain. Dovecot's wiki suggest to enable acl like this: plugin { # assumes mailboxes are in /var/mail/%d/%n: acl_shared_dict = file:/var/mail/%d/shared-mailboxes.db } but in vpopmail,

Headsup on feature removal
Hi Aki and Remo, switch from vpopmail driver to SQL driver (if you are using vpopmail with mysql as backend) is very simple. First you need to setup the right query for vpopmail database: # cat /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf.ext ### Vpopmail driver = mysql connect = host=192.168.1.2 dbname=vpopmail user=vpopmail password=Vp0pM4iL default_pass_scheme = MD5-CRYPT ### Query to get a list of all

Vpopmail Dynamic Authentication Module
Hello, We currently use qmail with vpopmail for e-mail and are looking to switch from courier-imap to dovecot for IMAP on our RedHat EL 5 systems. Our goal is to use the dovecot RPM supplied by RH (v1.0.7) if at all possible. We can do this if we are able to dynamically load the vpopmail auth module. The wiki (http://wiki.dovecot.org/CompilingSource) notes that this should be possible:
