/home on BTRFS on SSD, now highly fragmenting virtuoso database - use autodefrag?
Hi!
Today I converted my /home from Ext4 to BTRFS by reformatting and copying
all over again.
I created the filesystem with -l 16384 -n 16384 -d single -m single on an
logical volume Intel SSD 320 and mount with compress=lzo,spacecache. Current state:
merkaba:~> btrfs filesystem show

Work? Keyword here is "seems".

Since Kmail1 on KDE3 there is no really fully working
version that does not bork up your mail semi regulary.

User/Password Management: Mapping items to inidividual users
Is there a good plugin that does per page authentication management?
For example, I want to allow users to create pages and share them with
specific users, all users, or none at all on a per page basis.

Route and patterns
In a wiki, routes are handling
web_index /:web {:controller=>"wiki", :action=>"index"}
web_topic /:web/:topic {:controller=>"wiki", :action=>"view"}
action /:web/:topic/:action {:controller=>"wiki"}
That is the default action is "view".
Two questions:

(Solved) Re: Upgrade path from MySQL to MariaDB broken? (Akonadi)
Hello!
I've found it out, how you can solve/work around the problem:
Nextcloud needs MariaDB. It won't work (so it seems) with MySQL. So mariadb-
server needs to be installed.
This replaces MySQL (mysql-server-core-5.7 and mysql-client-core-5.7) with
MariaDB. The problem is that after that, Akonadi won't start any longer.
"aconadictl start" outputs a lot of messages.

gwenview WITHOUT nepomuk
Does anyone know how to make gwenview *not* try to use nepomuk? I liked it
under 5.x, but in 6.x it *constantly* complains about things like tagging
is not enabled... but won't open, when I log in, with gwenview running and
showing the same picture I'd logged out on. Then there are the random
crashes....
Don't need a "semantic" desktop, I know what things are, where they

picture viewers
Ok, I give up. After the last month or so, gwenview takes literally five
minutes or so to come up, gagging because I have nepomuk turned off in
kde. Today, it just will not come up at all, even trying gwenview pic.jpg.
Are there any other ->light weight<- image viewers in the standard
repositories, including epel? I DO NOT WANT OR NEED a "semantic desktop"

KMail
Any hope of KMail (and Kontact) coming to CentOS-7?
What exactly is the problem?
KMail seems to work on other Linux OS's.

Multiple Concurrent IMAP Connections For Same User
Hi
I've been using courier for some time, but have just built a new box and
am using dovecot (V1.2.9), Ubuntu 10.04LTS. I have a question regarding
multiple concurrent imap connections and how to get dovecot to behave in
the same way that courier does. I have searched the wiki, but find
little relevant to my specific issue.

using samba instead of NFS?
Sorry if this is a dumb question....
Is it possible to use samba instead of NFS to allow users home
directories to be on a server.
(I have a windows network with samba as the domain controller, but
also have some machines which can boot into linux, and I want
interested users to have the same home directory as they would if
they had logged on via windows and samba)
Something I read implied

Also - is there a reliable way for TB to know it is connecting to a dovecot server?
This would be so it could auto-disable GLODA - its new 'Global Search
and Indexing' scheme - for that account - assuming they accept (and
implement) my bug request to be able to do that:

SETANNOTATION for Dovecot
Hello,
i'm using kmail2 and for Folder Settings the SETANNOATION command is needed.
Is there any way to add this command to Dovecot?
I already found a dovecot-metadata-plugin but there is no Package
available for Debian.
Thanks
