Garbled screen after RAM Scrub on boot
Francis, I just rebooted my Precision 470 and watched...nothing :( I see the boot menu, and then everything goes blank - as in just a blinking cursor until I get the login prompt. No idea what it's doing - but I don't even see the scrubbing free memory output... My vote is still for KDE It's got a similar feel to Windows before it went pear shaped at Win8. It's fairly easy to use. He should be able to do most stuff as a user. Has anyone been able to start a Fedora 16 VM in Xen PV?
All, I've had a heck of a time getting Fedora 16 to run as a guest VM under CentOS 5.7 host as a paravirtualized Xen guest. I believe the issue has something to do with Fedora 16 using grub2... When I attempt to start the VM (via xm create), I get this error: Using config file "/etc/xen/fedora-workstation". Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/pygrub",

Hit the send key before actually typing anything :( Was going to say - ah OK didn't understand your original question. I'm not entirely sure - I just followed directions :) However, you ask a reasonable question. On Sat, 27 Feb 2016, Karanbir Singh wrote: > On 27/02/16 01:41, Scot P. Xen guests loose network
All, Just installed and got Xen working on CentOS 7 on my Dell Precision 470. I had been using Fedora 23 (with Xen) and saw what I'm now seeing with CentOS 7. For some odd reason the network just stops on the guests. I can "xl console vm" and start the network (ifup eth0 or service network restart) - but I can't figure out why it just stops. I'm not seeing anything

Garbled screen after RAM Scrub on boot
When I was running Fedora 23 and using Xen (as the host OS), I saw something similar on my Dell Precision 470. Xen 4.4.3 packages available in virt6-xen-44-testing
George, Just an FYI - I tried to run the rpm command and none of the repos showed up enabled by default. I tried enabling them manually, but I get this error: One of the configured repositories failed (CentOS-7 - xen), and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this: ...

We have a 10Gbps connection to our server so I need to be able to create VMs using the faster e1000 nics instead of the default Realtek 100Mbps ones but I''m not sure how to go about it. Is there a walkthrough or "howto" or can someone point me at some simple instructions? I''m using xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 and Centos 5.5 kernel 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5.centos.plusxen VMs are

Problems with RPM Database, usual techniques not working to recover DB
I have a CentOS 5.2 i386 Development server that has a rpm db problem that I can't seem to solve. I have followed all the advice on Daniel Berrange's page on rpm db recovery: http://people.redhat.com/berrange/notes/rpmrecovery.html With no results, all I get from "rpm -qa" is list of two public gpg keys that are listed in the file system root. My question is where do I start
