Problem with namespaces
[1.1.4 with http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-1.1/rev/b61424a50786 applied]
I'm trying to use namespaces as described here for UW-IMAP compatibility:
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Namespaces
But I'm getting a problem with the hidden namespaces showing up in the
LIST output. Here is a simplified transcript.
The ~/Mail folder contains just two folders. The config given to imapd
is as follows:

Ignore prefix given by client?
Hi all,
I'm new to Dovecot, but so far I've been really impressed with what I've
seen. I hope someone can help with the following question.
We're migrating from a setup where some of our users use mbox with UW
imap. The problem is we've never enforced a folder prefix, so some have
their folders in ~/, others in ~/mail and others in ~/Mail. We've also
got some users using

Remove certificate requests
Hi,
I''ve got some certificate requests on my puppet master that I wish to
remove. It looks like the "puppet cert" tool doesn''t have an option for
doing that? What''s the best approach, just manually remove them from the
puppet/ssl/ca/requests directory?

deliver not picking up INDEX setting?
I'm using the post-login script approach to give more customisation to
where our users can store their mail. It detects the location and type
of the mailbox at runtime and passes it through using the environment to
imapd. This works great.
However, I can't seem to make deliver do the same. I pass it the same
MAIL and NAMESPACE settings in the environment:

System deadlock when using mksnap_ffs
I've been playing around with snapshots lately but I've got a problem on
one of my servers running 7-STABLE amd64:
FreeBSD paladin 7.1-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 7.1-PRERELEASE #8: Mon Nov 10 20:49:51 GMT 2008 tdb@paladin:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/PALADIN amd64
I run the mksnap_ffs command to take the snapshot and some time later
the system completely freezes up:
paladin# cd /u2/.snap/

BN8S0, dahdi, wcb4xxp
Hi,
a few month ago, I tried to install zaptel for my Beronet BN8S0 pci card... I
gave up and took hfcmulti/lcr. Now dahdi (2.2.1.1) seems to support the card
and I'm very interested to get it to work.
But how to get rid of these annoying qozap driver?

auto-accept keys matching DNSSEC-validated SSHFP records
Hi,
I submitted a patch back in November of 2009 to add local validation of
DNSSEC record to openssh. I recent updated the patch for 5.8, and
figured I do a little marketing while I'm at it. :-)
Someone had previously submitted a patch which simply trusted the AD
bit in the response, which is susceptible to spoofing by anyone who can
inject packets between the resolver and the client. Our

Using libFLAC++
samples in FLAC are always signed. they must be signed going
into the encoder (flac converts unsigned samples to signed)
and they come out of the decoder signed.

Semi-OT: Backing up maildir
We switched our mail server over from mbox to maildir a few months ago and
couldn't be happier - the performance under normal load is incredible.
However we now have a problem with backup.. Typically we would run tar on
the mail server, sending its output to another server via ssh.. Like this:
tar cfp - /home | gzip | ssh other.server (cd /backups && tar xfp -).. I
have tried

IVR dictionary dial-plan
Does anyone know of an (E)AGI or program to develop a IVR dial-plan
which will take a list of words and then do something when a unique
branch has been found.
i.e.
Say there's 3 words
demon
deacon
bishop
On a phone they'd be represented as
33666
332266
247467
So if the user enters "2" we know they want bishop
if they enter "336" they want demon and "332"

Customising a CentOS 6.6 installation disk
I apologise if this is not the appropriate list for the following issue,
but...
Is it possible to upgrade the Linux kernel on a kickstart CD?
I've changed the vmlinuz and initrd.img files in the isolinux directory
from the distro's ISO image; so kernel 2.6.32-504.3.3.el6.i686 now boots
from a DVD, and loads the appropriate modules and firmware from the
stage 1 initrd.img.
However,

Good Afternoon,
As per the installation guide, section 30.2.2 I?ve created an efidefault file at /var/lib/tftpboot/pxelinux/pxelinux.cfg/efidefault
However, this file is never requested by the 64 bit PXE loader (bootx64.efi), as shown by tcpdump:

I'm attempting to add flac playback to my app, and would like a couple of
pointers. First of all, I'm very much a "learn by seeing other people doing"
sort of programmer, and would love a pointer to an open-source app that uses
libFLAC++, so I could see how they do it. Second, I'm having problems with

Mixing MBOX and MAILDIR
Hello,
I have about 100 mboxes, a few with a lot of mails and others with a few
mails. I have configured dovecot to use maildir as mail format, but I would
like to give users the ability to access their old email located in their
old mbox. So all the new mail would be in the ~/Maildir/ and their old or
archived email in /home/vmail/mboxmail/%Ln
How can I add a namespace to achieve my

I'm running dovecot 0.99.10-0.rc2 deb packages for Debian Woody from
braincells.com. My old environment was a server running UW-IMAP for
IMAP and POP services. We are still using mbox for all mailboxes. I
use IMP for web based access.
Forgive me if these issues have already been discussed or fixed in cvs.
Any additional pointers to this info. would be appreciated.

Authentication requests being handled by PDC not local BDC
I have a PDC+LDAP as well as a BDC+LDAP in another subnet setup with a
domain member in the same subnet as the BDC. From my understanding the
domain member should be hitting the BDC for all authentication but
watching the logs I see the PDC is the one handling it all. The BDC
just sits there. Am I missing something?
Here are the smb.conf for each servers:
