dovecot-1.2.2+sieve 0.1.9: sieve issues with (global?) includes
Hi, After upgrading from dovecot 1.1 to dovecot 1.2.2 and the new sieve implementation (0.1.9), I'm having some strange problems. I'm including some general purpose scripts into my user script from sieve_global_dir. After some tests it seems that ths scripts get executed at random: sometimes the mail gets stored in the correct dir, and sometimes it goes to inbox. This also happens while

Dovecot sieve - How to check which username a mail is being delivered to?
Hi everyone, I am looking for a way to check which mailbox an email is being delivered to in a global sieve filter. After not being able to find some kind of variable that is populated by dovecot automatically, I tried to use the `Delivered-To` header. I tried a check like this: header :is "delivered-to" "<user at domain.org>" Unfortunately, this does not only

Log rotation and combining...
So, the question is, why can I rotate the log manually, but cron returns a permission error? Do I need to tell cron to run it as sudo or something like that? dovecot lda bouncing postfix aliases
Oh wait, you crossposted to the postfix list. Please keep the discussion there going, you have a postfix issue, not a dovecot one ;) Tom On 02-03-17 09:40, Tom Hendrikx wrote: > Hi, > > Typically, postfix should resolve the aliases into user accounts that > dovecot knows before you even start delivering to dovecot. release plan for dovecot antispam plugin?
Hi, I noticed that someone took over the development of the dovecot antispam plugin, and the is currently hosted at dovecots hg repo. Great to see that the plugin is not dead! ;) I created a gentoo ebuild that builds the plugin from the repo, and the plugin seems to work nice with dspam (using mailtrain backend). I'm running a checkout from Tue Sep 21 16:14:48 2010. However, it is lacking a

sieve spamtest extension
Hello Stephan, First of all, thanks for time you spent implementing this useful extension. Different realm for different listeners?
I see this has been asked a few times over the years (but not in several years), and the response was along the lines of "maybe someday", so I figured I'd see if someday was here yet... I have a need to have a different default realm for different listeners. Basically, I've a bunch of different domains, and a few of them insist their users not be required to authenticate with

trash plugin not doing it's job
I enabled the trash plugin yesterday, adding "trash" to mail_plugins, and configuring the plugin setting "trash = /etc/dovecot/dovecot-trash.conf.ext". But I still see users with lots of files in INBOX.Trash getting bounced because of quota exceeded: postfix/lmtp[26273]:: C89F490061: to=<XXXXXXXXXXXXX at example.no>, relay=loadbalancers.example.net[192.168.42.15]:24,

Sieve not exists
I thought this was working as intended, but I have recently been getting some random messages put into this mailbox that definitely have list-ip headers (including some messages from this list) and that do not have multiple addresses. I believe this started happening on 20200922, which would hav been when I applied the most recent update to dovecot, as that is when the listCC box seemed to

Moving email between folders outside of IMAP context
I'd like to run a script from cron that will scan certain mailboxes and move selected mail from one folder (usually INBOX) to another folder. The basic idea is to move previously detected spam based on headers prepended to the mail. Since I am not able to figure out how to get Postfix to invoke deliver with the -m option in these cases, and not in others, this is one idea I have come up with
